I hope that if it goes south and Levy ends up shortchanging Mourinho, that he goes public with it. Let the world know what we already do. Put some pressure on him.
He never bad mouths his previous teams

But.... he won things at Man Utd that we haven't won in a longggg long time?I’ll be candid, I think Mourinho has passed his sell by date. I’ve a horrible feeling he’s going to reduce spurs to the way he reduced Man U. As someone I spoke to today said ‘he watches the game from the sidelines like arsene wenger did in his last few seasons’. Maybe I’m being too fickle, and there’s a lot more to fix, but I’m not excited about our club currently..
He was spending 100s of millions of pounds on players - Pogba, Lukaku, Sanchez, etc, etc. A cup run was the minimum they should have been achieving.But.... he won things at Man Utd that we haven't won in a longggg long time?

That is the weird thing with levy and co, when we bin managers I think they sign non disclosure agreement, because I'm sure they must have evidence of alien existence or who killed JFK.I hope that if it goes south and Levy ends up shortchanging Mourinho, that he goes public with it. Do you think anyone will? Of course, we may luck out finally and win one but there isn't a manager in the game right now who will transform us into what we all want us to be. Not all the while you know who is in charge. This is all fluff. Avoiding the real problem.
The priority isn't a new manager. Nowhere near it. Until our club has a change of philosophy at the top all a change of manager will do is sooth the baying mob for a year or two until we find ourselves here all over again. It's about time we, as fans, started to voice or vent our frustrations at the eighth dwarf. Stingey.
People have already been candid with that opinion - plenty when he was originally being linked with the job. I was of that opinion before he got the job but he's here now so I do feel like he should get backed until Levy decides otherwise. Unfortunately it must be proving obvious with two managers struggling with the team in the space of a year that a simple managerial change doesn't address the issue.I’ll be candid, I think Mourinho has passed his sell by date. He's had 20 games now. managing a squad he thought was top 4 material.. He doesn't have the desire or the need to sweat blood improving our fortunes. The only fortune on his mind is the £15m a year he's stealing from our club... I don't blame him from taking the job, when someone is prepared to pay someone that obscene amount of money for a man, who's better days and luck are a distant memoryHe needs a proper season in fairness.
Oh, and funds, lots of funds.
I'd lay some of the blame at Mourinho's door for continually starting with 2 in CM, neither of whom has great defensive skills. In the Sheffield game, our CBs were half trying to deal with stuff coming into the box and half watching for the ball being played to the edge of the box for a shot at goal. If we had a midfielder in that central position it would be his job to block shots, but not only did we have nobody there, but Sissoko was spending a load of time covering Aurier. All that was so that we could have an extra player in our attack, and all that seemed to do was create confusion and cramped space. Any of our midfielders could have played centrally 9Winks, Gedson, Skipp etc) and even if they're not dedicated DMs it would have helped.
Money had nowt to do with what was said, it was implied that he failed there. My point is that if failure is winning things we haven't (even with Pochettino), then I'll take that.He was spending 100s of millions of pounds on players - Pogba, Lukaku, Sanchez, etc, etc. A cup run was the minimum they should have been achieving.
But he failed in the context that he had the largest budget in the league and expectations are different because of that.Money had nowt to do with what was said, it was implied that he failed there. I did a breakdown of the goals and Jose cannot improve individual decision making. There were plenty of players out there yesterday who made poor decisions that caused a domino affect for the defence. Sissoko for instance was covering Aurier when Aurier chased out to confront the man that Moura didn't mark.
Our midfield disintergrated like a paper towel in a rainstorm because the wide players consitently did not stick to the plan of defence and allowed for overloads on our fullbacks.
I can find fault with Jose on our attacking play, it's not gotten much better than before he joined. However the individual errors that we have been making that both Poch and Jose have bemoaned are not stopping.
I don't recall any of the top managers bad mouthing previous clubs to be honest. He never bad mouths his previous teams
I wouldn't necessarily say that - I think that is cynical. I'd say that his ego wouldn’t allow him to sully his record of winning trophies at every club. He would have been earning a decent amount with the punditry without breaking a sweat. He's had 20 games now. managing a squad he thought was top 4 material.. He will probably be gone by Christmas this arrangement won't work. He's had 20 games now. managing a squad he thought was top 4 material.. He's suffering the same problems as Poch because he's using the same setup. We haven't had the players for 2 in midfield since Dembele left and Wanyama fell to bits IMO.
I think we had the right coach in Poch. We should've had more patience. He was not the problem.
Now we made our bed. We need to stick with Mourinho and give him the chance. This season was always gonna end like this. We are not good enough.
That said, I don't think he's the right fit for our club and will never be. I don't think he is past his best, but his style of football and the need for mega signings doesn't fit with us as a club
This constant bringing up of us being 14th is so weak, we were 14th after 12 games in and one win would take us to 5th as Jose literally proved in the next after being fucked by VAR twice which cost us 5 points which at the time of sacking would have had us 5th and 2 points clear of 6th. Is the argument is that things are better now because for one game week during a period of the season where the difference between a loss and a win was about 12 positions meant we were 14th?
That's true but we know we're not a club who can spend our way out of trouble so we need to be more strategic.Bouncing from coach to coach is not a problem if they each get 100mil or so to build their own team.Worked for Chelsea to a degree
