To be fair bro you do seem really worried about what other fans think. It’s like you’re ant to win something just so you’ve got something to back at them with.
I want my club to win things, since when has that been weird?

It's like some of you lot have been brainwashed lol.

imagine finding the only enjoyment in football being the bragging about trophies to Baz, Gaz and Waz down the pub and choosing to support Spurs.

thats some funny shit.
When did I say thats my only enjoyment in football?
Surely thats gotta be the aim no?

TBH, you sound like you're trying to convince yourself that winning stuff doesn't matter.

An inferior mindset for wanting my club to win things ? :ROFLMAO:
Brilliant.

We all want to win trophies, I’m desperate to win something. Just not desperate enough to give up our football principles. I want to win but I want to win in style, we nearly did it too with Poch. Now we’ve chucked it all the way and hired that prick. And if he does win something it’ll be all about him. He will take all the credit.

Do you think any of the champions league squad would swap that champions league run for a league cup trophy? Genuine question as I don’t think they would

I think some of them would yeah. Especially those who don't have any silverware themselves yet.

Players want to win things, especially the ones at the top of their game.

Yup I reckon most of them would, what have they got to show for that CL run apart from some memories, I highly doubt Dele turns down a Fortnite sessions with his mate so that he can watch the No Filter BT highlights of the semi final on repeat. Gaes like beating Real 3-1 at Wembley - great night for the fans and the club ultimately not one of them will give a fuck about that match in 5 years whether they're still at the club or not.

Its just a pastime mate, a form of entertainment. I enjoy the day out, seeing some goals and wasting time blabbering crap about it. It literally doesnt matter at the end of the day - It really isnt what defines whether my life is a success.

You are talking 'the glory' like you will get a standing applause when you go into work after your football team wins a trophy.

Liverpool 5-1 in front of 60,000 Spurs fans , being 3-0 up against Real under champions league floodlights, smashing Inter, Ajax comeback > beating Leicester in Worthington cup final i cant even remember.
I can you know. Sports cafe near Leicester Square going bezerk when the winning goal went in.

Now I know it’s Robbie savage. But he said on early kick off that he would give up his worthington cup trophy to have played in a champions league final even if he lost. And I completely understand what he means

You keep interpreting winning trophies as 'bragging rights' like that's all that it means to fans who want to see the club win trophies. I bet that Bill Nich wouldn't have settled just for enjoyable football. Did the Spurs fans who were around for the double just enjoy the bragging rights? I bet not.

I won't really care if he takes all the credit or not TBF.

diving header werent it? I rememer Woodgates scoring the winner in 2008 with his nose better.

But would you hand on heart say you will remember it over when Moura scored in the last second of the Ajax game when all is said and done?

Or do you honestly think people outside of long time Spurs fans 'remember it' , which seems to be really important for some people? I honestly dont know who the current FA cup champions are.

It’s because our own fans have now started mocking our own fans using the same but what did he win shit that other fans have been throwing at us.

And then call us brainwashed ?

I can remember both mate plus the Des Walker own goal when we won the FA cup. That was a joint record for cup wins at the time.

Unfortunately the lack of trophies will always probably be the main disappointment for Poch. Not winning that trophy clearly affected him.

I would fucking love us to win a trophy. But there is a very clear line in my head about what I would be prepared to sacrifice in order for us to be successful. If is stop enjoying us play that is very much crossing over my line because then what else is it other than the desire to brag about it?

I would love us to win a trophy as 'Spurs' not being Joses Utd. And I dont think we have to be Joses Utd to win things, that is my angle on it. I hope Jose snaps out of the current negativity and embraces a bit of what makes us Spurs.

Its one of the great shames in football that the peak Poch team never had a trophy to show for it.

But beating arsenal in the semi felt better than actually winning it for me.
Again though, we did both. I loved beating them but the fact that we went onto win the cup - against the odds considering the set back with Gazza getting injured will be the overriding thing for me. I understand why you would say that though TBF as you said that it's games not trophies that mean more to you.

In fact you could the same for the league cup to. I was in the same pub for the 5-1 semi win against Arsenal as I was for the final. And I definitely enjoyed the 5-1 more

What it comes back to is that people should give him time. Levy has decided that he wants someone who will win trophies. Levy is not naive - he knows the kind of football that Mourinho plays but has clearly decided that winning trophies is a priority now that we have the stadium. Whether it comes to fruition who can say but Levy calls the shots.
