The reason why I love this is because it shows to us that its all an act to him. Everything in front of the camera is done for a reason and has meaning about it. I bet behind the scenes and in private he is a completely different person to how he is in front of the camera before an after games, in press conferences and by the side of the pitch.

Years ago when I lived in Derby, on a night out I bumped into one of their Portugese players (Jose Costa or something) - a young player on loan from Porto. This was around 2004 and Jose was making waves at Chelsea. He sat with me and some mates for a short while and we asked him what Jose was really like away from the camera's. He said he was totally different, very warm and considerate to everyone at the club etc - players just wanted to play for him and he was very well liked

This is just one person's opinion and from a while back but there you go

You only have to look at how highly nearly all* his former players speak of him to realise this.

A bit random, but I saw a panel with Carlton Cole on recently. He was absolutely gushing in his praise of Mourinho. I checked out the history and noticed Jose had some interesting moments with Cole. He had him loaned out, and famously singled him out for a bollocking after a Chelsea defeat in which he didn’t even play! Cole said he looks back now and realises Mourinho is a total genius when it comes to mind games. He said he had his best ever training session after this episode...

*Might have to exclude Pogba!

I think us and Mourinho is a perfect fit. We don’t have any egotistical players so mourinho will have a much easier time adapting his style of play to our club. We are also not expecting much as we haven’t won a trophy for years so we are happy to give him time and not expect instant success like Utd. He well over achieved at utd with that crock of shit that Ole has to work with on a daily basis. If we stick to mourinhos philosophy he could turn us into serial winners in a few years.

I’m not sure. I think he’ll be desperate to win the league next season. Success for him this year is getting top four but apparently he hates not winning like nobody else. Good for us if he’s so driven. Let’s just hope the players are as committed as him.

This CL campaign is going to be so crucial for the players. He is a master in setting up a team in tournaments. Players will learn a lot from him. Next season, Jose will know what he needs to improve the squad for trophies or tittle challenge. Key is for Levy to support him with signings. As long as that happens, Jose will bring in the winning mentality & lead us to trophies.

We are nailed on to win the fa cup next year as it ends with a 1 ... Spurs winners of the FA Cup 2021 ( and remain holders of the trophy after victory in 2020 )

Another masterclass from Jose tonight. when I used to watch us and others play mouriniho teams I couldn’t work out how they won matches but now he’s our manager I’m even more clueless as to how we are winning these games but I don’t care if it leads to some tin pots finally.

I think Jose has that knack of just knowing what his side needs to get it over the line. People had him as a failure for at Utd but he got them to 2nd place and they really were poor. He is just a very clever football man and sees things a different way than the rest of us probably would.

This couldn’t be more spot on.

He's either extremely clever or the luckiest manager in football.

Probably a bit of both tbf.

He plays up to it big time saying we have no options on the bench to change the game etc making people feel sorry for us etc but to be fair we are a bit light up front and in attacking areas, I don’t think ideally hed want to start 5-3-2 with an off form dier, a tired winks and half fit ndombele.

He’s doing great with what he has to work with which is a very talented squad but one which is a bit light at full back and in attacking areas.

It’s going to happen isn’t it like we said poch was playing the fruit machine at the casino for days not winning and he gives up then Jose strolls in, one yank on the handle and he wins ?

These wins are papering over serious cracks, and I have a feeling a month from now the same posters praising him above are going to be slating him.
Or if this is how well he’s doing with:
-having had no 1st choice goalie for most his time as manager with us
-Aurier as a RB
-an unproven kid Tanganga LB and across the defence
-Ndombele never fit
-Best player and only striker our injured
-lack of attacking options to rotate and off the bench

Imagine how well he could do next season with a fully fit squad and say another 3-4 top signings... the man is a winner, it ain’t pretty at times but it’s pretty bloody effective.

I'm not talking about next season, I said a month from now after we've played top 4 competitors and RB Leipzig.

I am more than happy to give him time.
