He adds in that he’s happy the club were trying to sign one. Think this ties in with the itk that he is happy. Although I doubt he’s happy he doesn’t have a new one, but I think it goes back to his time at Man U. I think the promises that were broken to him there he still carries with him. I know we don’t entirely know what goes on behind the scenes but he feels like he has the support of the chairman at spurs, which is obviously important to him. Let’s see how that is at the end of the summer but for now I believe he’s content.
I think he's happy because Levy will have been clear from the outset one hopes. Clear that we do things differently. We have to sell the Eriksens of the world to buy the Bergwijns. And I think that's something we all understand given the club's financial position.

Having said that, I find it hard to believe there wasn't a single striker in world football we could have signed as an option. Especially given Jose's reluctance to throw Parrott in. So in that respect, given our collective disappointment, I find it hard to believe it wouldn't have been taken negatively by Jose.

However it's the first few months and his patience is still full to the brim. Give it another window where a priority signing isn't achieved, and I think we might see him changing attitudes, and I would back Jose not Levy in such a scenario.

By sacking Poch and bringing in Jose, Levy has basically stated that he's not content with mediocrity and expects a CL finish at least. But he has to be prepared to face the expectations on his shoulders too, not just sit there demanding success because our stadium is pretty.

Hopefully with SB in, Jose can shift Son to CF supported by either GLC, Dele or Moura (a kick up the ass for the latter two)

Jose is clearly happy with things so far.

Obviously it is just totally insane that we have one striker, but that is a consequence of previous windows and who knows whether Poch or Levy were more to blame.

The fact that we haven't found a suitable option this window is no great surprise and clearly not something that Jose is pissed at Levy about. Mourinho doesn't come out in a press conference and speak like that if there is conflict going on behind the scenes, it is obvious that they were all on the same page with this.

We have come out of this window having improved the squad with incomings and cleared the squad of negative influences. We have also suceeded where Chelsea have failed, and the fact that we have outdone a club that is always happy to splash the cash and were obviously desperate to enter the market after their summer ban says it all.

So lots of fans go on about Mourinho and guardiola saying they have only won lots of things because they’ve been at big clubs with lots of money and the best players.

Well now Jose has the chance to show he really is a great manager. Get this lot playing well over the next 12/18 Months and try and achieve something. Never before and never again will he probably get the chance to properly coach a bunch of players to play how he wants. Theoretically they should look up to and worship him, something he wouldn’t of had at the other clubs.

Now’s the time to show us how good he is.

Strange press conference from Jose yesterday saying he was 'happy' with his squad but then went on to say obviously it would be better to have a no9 for the run in

Heard that Levy was asked what he wanted for Xmas and he said top 4 and a cup

Quite strange how relaxed Jose is these days and If Levy really wanted top 4 and a trophy even more strange how we didn’t find a short term fix up top

Bergwijn will need time. Cant expect him to be a starter.

He won’t need that much, to be honest. He’s fit, comes with a ton of experience for a 22 year old and we wouldn’t be putting him in a position that doesn’t suit him down to the ground.

Mourinho stated in the same press Conference that he didn't want a striker that was only for now as it had to be for the future as well.
If we'd been able to secure a loan with an option we would likely have taken it but Mourinho probably didn't want to be stuck with a player in 6 months that we'd have trouble moving on if the player didn't perform as it would impact our possibilities to get the player we want in the summer.

Best case scenario for the summer? Eze, Ruben Dias, Boubakary Soumare and Max Aarons? Feels semi-realistic. Ally Gold mentioned both Soumare and Aarons as player we'll likely be after in the summer.

The season finishes in 3 months. It’s just not worth spunking money on a stop gap striker when we will have better options in the summer. It’s imperative we sign one this summer and I think Jose will insist on it.

This looks like a realistic state of the squad after the summer. Would probably expect Eze to providing competition for Lo Celso in that formation with Dele playing as a wide forward

Possibly a forward for when Kane takes his 3 month sabbaticals? Other than that it sounds awesome (and expensive)

Comes with experience and professionalism I guess. Absolutely nothing Jose can do now and just has to deal with it until the summer. No point kicking up a fuss when it’s not going to lead to anything.
