The cynic in me thinks that yesterdays announcement may be the main reason why Mou hasn't left yet, not the cup final this weekend.

He's most likely still here due to the cup final but it does make you wonder.

I don't think this makes sense.

I see no reason why we'd suddenly start to play well in a Super League competition with Mourinho at the helm. The formal competition doesn't matter as much as the results and the football do.

I do agree and as I say, it is only the cynic in me. The realist more or less knows it not to be true.

Anyway, if I were to explain it wouldn't be for sporting reasons but marketing reasons. I've been an open fan of Potter as a replacement for example and if there was a slim chance of him joining before, it's close to, if not nil, now with the next level elitist mentality this new competition brings.

Edit: Well, luckily I don't listen to the cynic in me too often :ROFLMAO:

There's suddenly a lot of rumours on social media saying Jose going today. I won't quote them, obviously as it's social media. But a few respected commentators saying same

It depends if it means we have big money to spend. If Jose has the money to sign some top defenders then I could see him turning things around. Similar to Klopp when he got the Coutinho money and signed a top keeper and centre back.

Also seeing on SM he's gone. Probably bollocks. But imagine if Levy, while negotiating the end of the CL, worded the contract in a way that meant Mourinho wouldn't get compensation if he failed to qualify for a tournament that no longer existed :D

I think it's only the ITK threads where an embargo exists in respect of quoting social media?

I would be seriously shocked if Mourinho were to go today. Who are the respected commentators?

Edit: just seen @DiVaio and @0-Tibsy-0 's posts above. Interesting...

Are we trying to get Nagelsmann in asap before Bayern sorts out what's happening with Flick?

That's the only reason I can think of why we'd sack him this early.

what the fuck lol. the timing is crazy, obv the illuminati have been hard at work behind the scenes.

we're truly in the upside down. just goes to show how little we all know about what actually goes on behind closed doors.
