Just lost his number to Romero (With Skipp taking 4)

Romero has 17, not 14.
Not awake yet...

I feel like I’m coming over all Dutch when I say…

I fucking hate this change.

Clearly, I care way more about something as incidental as squad numbers than I ever realised. ??‍♂️

I know Romero wore 17 at his previous clubs but 4 was perfect.

Also feel sorry for anyone who’s already paid for the new shirt with Romero 4.

Even Ade offered anyone who bought his old number a replacement at his personal cost! That man liked (maybe still does?) his money more than most things and he looked out for people who supported him!
Cmon Spurs- get a grip and offer new ones to anyone who wants a change- many of the kids with the wrong numbers will get the piss taken out of them and that's just wrong!

oh yes its Adebayor changed from #25 to #10 and offered the replacement, not the club...

That’s utter horseshit. You should definitely contact customer services but I bet they come back with “it does state on the website numbers are subject to change,” blah, blah, blah

I agree to a point, but this happens every year, and it's not the club's fault. As a good will gesture you can understand it, but you can't just keep doing it year on year.

As a token~ sort the kids ones.
I don't get the players names on repro adults shirts anyhow.

Shirt numbers are always subject to change until the transfer window closes and they confirm them all, not the clubs fault

Goodwill gesture is worth it - depending on the number of shirts already ordered and printed. I don't know how many shirts are involved - but, this early into the sales cycle, and it should not be a prohibitive number.

Of course, what they should do now, at a minimum, is reach out to anyone who has purchased a Romero or Skipp shirt, that has not been processed, and verify the number with the customer.

Given the shirts cost about 4p, I reckon they should do an amnesty (and would be surprised if they didn't). A lot of goodwill has been earned recently, would be silly to undo some of it for the sake of hundreds/thousands of pounds.

Got Romero 4 for my step dad for fathers day. Wanted something different than Kane or Son. Was looking at Kulu but wasn't sure whether he'd keep thr same number. Literally picked Romero mostly on the basis his number was safe...
