I interpreted Herc's comments as tomorrow is the deadline to agree a deal for Grealish, presumably before their new managers comes in and like you said, they look to reinvest any money from the deal they can into the squad.
If Grealish is going they’ll want him gone before they appoint a new manager.

Hahaha the new Villa owners are gooners aren't they - of course they are, couldn't make this up :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Aston Villa's Steve Bruce bracing for Thierry Henry to replace him — because of one simple fact

EXCLUSIVE: Boss who almost delivered Premier League return last season has learned the new owners support Arsenal

"Steve Bruce is taking seriously the threat of Thierry Henry replacing him as Aston Villa boss —because he knows their new majority owners are massive Arsenal fans."

Imagine...refusing to sell us Grealish and then appointing Henry as manager...

If ever a team deserved to get relegated...

I doubt it will matter who they support, hard nosed businessmen do not wave good bye to the millions of pounds their business asset needs because of whom they support.

Them supporting Arsenal will hold no sway in any of this.

Come on man. The team we are low balling for a target of ours getting bailed out financially by Arsenal fans? If you can't see the funny side of how that is so beautifully ironically Spurs you need to sort your humour out.
No one knows that to be true. All you have is a load of people on this forum that know nothing making up their own narrative because things haven't happened how they wanted.

Spursy is a twatty remark that oppo throw at us I don't see the need from our own fans. Hardly see the Liverpool fans calling themselves the bin dippers or Chelsea fans calling themselves the chavs.

How about you wait for the truth of these dealings to come out. Fact is Grealish has potential but hes not a 40m player. If villa want that we are right to stall.

You don't know we're low-balling anyone. We may have agreed to pay their asking price and that may still be the case, or it might be that with their new investment, the goal-posts have changed. Their new investors (not, notably, owners) weren't standing in the Clock End, they're businessmen from the US. I really don't think their club alligences are going to make a difference.

Hasn’t Bruce said transfers are on hold until he sits down with the new owners this week?

We won’t know anything till the weekend if that’s the case.

I hear one of them has a Tony Adams poster in his bedroom and moonlights as Gunnersaurus - could be difficult

Just a hunch, but I reckon we have until they announce their manager plans to sort this. I cant see his sale being the first thing to happen under a new boss, but it may just release the funds for them to make a few additions of their own.

He's most likely meeting with the new owners to see if he's still got a job.
