My daily stalking of Jack's social media has shown nothing of note today.

Or a deadline imposed by Villa would be my guess. By most accounts we've all but agreed a deal with them but they need time to reinvest in their squad so if we don't pay up by then they'll raise the price as it makes it more difficult for them to close deals. Just a guess though.

I interpreted Herc's comments as tomorrow is the deadline to agree a deal for Grealish, presumably before their new managers comes in and like you said, they look to reinvest any money from the deal they can into the squad.
