You love Poch?

Are you the guy that always says it too soon?
Yes I do. And to be honest I cant really give you an explanation why. I just feel he`s got the makings of a great manager, and would love to see him achieve great things with Spurs. Sadly, however, I fear thats not going to be the case.

i don't know whether it's a personal thing or an age thing but my enthusiasm for spurs is at an all-time low. i still like to talk spurs all the time probably because i have nothing better to do but come match day i just feel ambivalent about it all, i used to be a bundle of nerves before every important/league game but now it's just like i'm watching a club i have no affinity for, i wasn't angry or gutted on sunday, i just shrugged and laughed. i always used to think it was a bit "try-hard" to be so interested in the youth teams but i now find myself reading up and watching them far more now, i want to see mason, kane, townsend, bentaleb etc in the team ... if we're not going to be very good then i'd rather we were not very good with these guys rather than some faceless foreign robots. i like poch, i don't think he'll last long because they never do under levy, i think it's just been a case of one too many now and it's eventually ground me down. i used to go to around 15 games a season but over the past one and a bit i've gone to two, it's just not that enjoyable for me anymore and the whole matchday experience isn't what it used to be.

This 100%...................fed up watching foreign players who couldn't give a shit.
Mason,Kane,Bentaleb,Townsend and Rose would be in my team every single week.

I've always said i'm not too bothered about trophies or european football i just want a team i can be proud of. Unfortunately I haven't felt proud for a few years now. However the more matches players like Mason and Kane get that feeling comes back.

Been lucky as I;ve seen the real highs, winning the league/double (as well as the real lows of relegation:() of 60 years of THFC. :)
A lot of fans haven't and may never see Spurs win the league. (Twice in my lifetime!:):))
Last few years are back among the lows unfortunately. :(
Can I have any effect on this, probably not, I'm only an armchair supporter nowadays. Can't afford the cost of matchdays or the travelling to and from the Lane.
Will I live long enough to see any more highs? Probably not the way things are atm but I still love the club and always will.

I've been having a think about how I really feel about Tottenham Hotspur, before really having a chance to think about it, I would probably have said I love the club, but then I got to thinking.

The Club is actually like my ex girlfriend,

I have loved the club for years, but sadly, they give me more bad times than good.
I loved my ex girlfriend, but she slept with another fella behind my back, I knew I shouldn't have turned around.

I keep going back to all things Spurs, forums etc, even though they cause me such hurt.
I stupidly went back with my ex girlfriend after she'd been stabbed by another fella's pork sword.

Even though sometimes I feel like I hate Spurs, I still go and watch them play, why?
Even though I hate my ex, I still like to stand outside her bedroom window and watch her sleep, why?

So I asked myself these questions,

1. Do I really love Spurs???

2. Do I still love my ex girlfriend???

Answer..... I'm a creep!

So I ask you, how do you REALLY feel about Spurs??

.

Mine is like having a drug addict son.

You will always love him and never give up hoping things will work out. Every now and again you get glimpses of something promising, that things might be turning a corner and on the up but then out of the blue there's a relapse you end up throwing good money after bad to sort it out.

To me loving or not loving Spurs is not a choice, i don't really like them like i used too but i am still crazy in love with them....problem is i have subjected both my poor sons to the same life sentance.

I'd be interested to know how Villa fans feel about their club as that is kind of the route they went down albeit because Randy Lerner didn't want to keep pumping money into the club.

I feel guilty because:

The way things are at the moment (decline, selling players etc etc bla bla bla) I feel apathetic towards the club.

Does this then mean I am a 'fair weather supporter'?? A supporter who only supports in the good times? That's kind of what it seems like, and that's why I feel even crapper about everything. Because I don't want to be that guy.

I can't believe we are even having this debate, the lows make the highs so much better it's what football is about, but I really would not call this a low. Are we bout to be liquidated? I'd the future of our club at risk? Are we on a relegation battle? Are we not building a new amazing stadium in next 5 years? Have we not got one of the most impressive training complexes in years? Do we not have one of the best youth academy's and are producing some very promising players, or mason Pritchard and kane, we are an amazing club with a huge world wide fan base, yes our first team is going through a sticky transitional period but come on get a grip we are in all the cup competitions and only ten games into the season, I love spurs, I know that by how much it hurts me when we loose,

I find myself going through stages, every year.

I eventually get to a point where I find my interest in the teams performance just goes missing. Typically this is around Mar/Apr time when all hope of greatness has gone (mathematically gone), but I'll be very honest, I didn't even look at the football at all this weekend, my interest seems to have gone very, very early.

Don't worry though, it always comes back, I just find myself submitting to defeat, it's a familiar feeling though.
