Diego is the nearest thing to the good Zola of old that's out there, and strength was never a problem for Zola.

I read on here a while back that Gomes wasn't considered for Brazil because the coaching staff were concerned by his technical skills with the ball and also by his lack of ability to deal with crosses.

I think Gomes has sorted out at least one of those since he's come to us and whilst he was always fantastic in The Netherlands, I think that this recognition is a mark as to how much he has improved since he has come here.

Diego is exactly the type of attacking midfield player we need. 20 goals for Bremen this season and as they have finished 10th in Budesliga i can't see him wanting to hang around there. IMO our number one priority signing this summer.

Wonderful player. In fact one my cuurent favourites. Out of interest what position do you think he is best suited.
