Its a shame it comes to an end here like this as I really thought he would be a very decent squad option in the Ange system. Shame he was here with the wrong managers.

His corners and crosses with both feet were excellent and the best I have seen in a long time.

Best of luck to him, such a shame that he got that injury because no doubt he would have been a very important part of the squad this season with his world class delivery. Total professional since he came to us and I wish him nothing but the best to him at his new club.

I swear so much of these sensible transfer moves will be coming from Ange’s influence in his squad building.

Another very sensible move from us. Good player but no real future with us because of his age and injury so may as well free up a squad space, simple effective squad management.

So refreshing :)

Obviously a super player over his career, but was disappointing for the most part with us. Seemed a good pro, and he gets his move back home. Good luck to him.

Shame about the injury, i think with his quality of delivery he would have been very useful this season under Ange.

So tragic he got the injury he did this season, was looking set to have a great year. Hope it really works out for him in Croatia.

Can't help but wonder what might have been this season and how Ivan might have impacted some of our results. He was becoming a valuable contributor before he got injured.

Just typical really. Didn't utilise him properly for most of his time with us, only to figure it out and then lose him.

Good luck Ivan. Shame we didn’t get to see you much in an attacking team. Wasted by Conte!

I think it helps having people like Lange and Munn running the football side. Levy can't do everything by himself so it's obvious with Ange, Lange, Munn etc all doing their part, things get done easier.

Yea hopefully they're having a positive input too for sure but I still think a lot of it stems from Ange if I'm honest but yea probably a combination of all of these people which is good, first time in a long time we've had a fully coherent set-up.

I think we had it good with Jol and Arnesen for a while but then Chelsea poached Arnesen, we hired Commolli who didn't like Jol and it all fell apart again.

Would we say at his best Perisic was World Class?

For me I'd say he was, technically and tactically so sound, works so hard, part of a world cup runners up side, playing in sides reaching CL finals and tearing full-backs apart.

Top top pro like a lot of Croatians.

Great career.

Bit disappointing for us overall but still glad we signed him as on paper he was one of the best LWB's around when we did, shame his legs went a bit for us.

Amazing player in his prime. I loved that he was here with us even late in his career, and I think it proved to be a really good fit overall. Made 50 appearances for us with 1 goal and 14 assists from the WB/FB position. He's been positive behind the scenes too for the younger players and in the dressing room.

All the best Ivan!
