Lamela's rabona, and none of the other goals come close to it. I don't see how context is relevant when deciding which goal was technically the best. A rabona from the edge of the box, one of the most unique goals anybody has ever scored for us, tops a header to the far post regardless of whether I was happier with Kane's goal.

Lamela's Rabona was a stunning piece of skill, but I think you have to factor in that it was against a pub team. Still a brilliant goal.

I voted for Kane's late winner against Arsenal. Just an iconic moment for so many reasons.
When you are talking skill though it's of no conseqence what the caliber of team was.

If he knocked in 6 goals, you could say yeah well, pub team. But for a piece of skill like that doesn't matter imo.

I must have missed on the OS where it says it has to be the goal that was best technically.

Same answer as above. It wasn't an unstoppable shot. It was a great piece of skill that resulted in a goal partly due to having some amateur between the sticks.

We've all seen Spurs players produce great moments of skill in cup games against lower league teams, only for them to be unable to reproduce those skills when up against better opponents. Of course it matters what the quality of the opposition is.

Rabona for skill, Kanes header was a good one too.

On the subject of great goals it's been 10 years since Erik Edmans strike against Liverpool, 10 years!

How did the 40 moves goal against QPR not even make the list?

Maybe a better team would have closed him down to prevent the shot. But the execution of it is the same regardless of the opposition. If you're talking about someone dribbling past four defenders then rounding the goalkeeper then yes, the quality of opposition matters. But he took one touch, the quality of that goal is all about the technique displayed.

personally the best goal i think was the 48 pass one vs QPR earlier in the season - while the finish want as exquisite as the ones in the poll the build up was fantastic and saw every player touch it at least once.

edit - too late with this.

If the rabona is in the list then obviously that lol :D

Howefer, I think that both of Kane's goals against Chelsea were sheer class. The turn past Cahill made me have to change my pants. Twice.
