Fully agree with this, I also like the fact that Poch has no agent, I'd imagine Levy quite likes that too.It seems that Levy is rewarding all improvements in playing performance with new contracts.
So at what point do we say "Levy, get the contract out and sign Poch down"?
I'd say now!!!
He has a 5 year deal, so there really isn't any need for him to sign a new deal. Also I would wait till the end of the season whether we should give him a new deal or not.
Personally I don't think he will see out his contract as its not really a Spanish thing to stay at a club for 5 years but who knows(I know he isnt spanish but he has heavily been influenced by la liga and south american tactics are a part of the spanish style nowadays anyway)
I don't know, normally managers in la liga who play his style tend to leave after 3 or 4 seasons. Pep himself said that his players stopped responding to a high pressing style after 3 or 4 years. For Poch to stay I think he would have to reinvent himselfI'm not sure about your 2nd point. Poch often speaks about long term stuff at Spurs and he strikes me as the sort who is quite loyal and would like to be here for a long time as with a lot of the infrastructure he puts in place will take a good few years to see the results properly.
I'm not convinced he would have even left Southampton if Cortese hadn't left.

Everything he has said would contradict this, I know, i know who to believe but I genuinely thinkPoch wants to build something and sees us as the pefect club to do that. New stadium, top class academy and training facilities and a chairman who so far seems to be giving him what he wants. While the lure of a big club would certainly be hard for him to resist, would Madrid for example be happy with no big name signings and work rate and playing as a team valued higher than individual performances? From his short time with us its pretty clear that Poch doesnt give a fuck about the stature of name of the back of the shirt, only the perfomance thats put in on the pitch.
He is only a year and a half in, im pretty sure he is on a decent wage as thats one thing Levy doesn't seem to skimp on, plus Poch doesn't seem like a guy who would be shy on knocking Levy's door.
It is ultimately about results, also for Levy. In a season like this, with 3 major clubs failing to various extents, I would expect Levy to have more adamant expectations than before as far as results go. Poch has to navigate to a CL spot at this point, no less. IMO.I think the two of them are a match made in heaven. What chairman wouldnt like a manager that plays the youth teamers rather than demanding money. In return, Levy will give him time and stability, unlike Chelsea, Madrid or Man Utd.

Meh, deal schmeal.
We hit a proper bad patch or don't hit the ground running next season and most of you lot will be calling for his head and telling anyone who'll listen what a **** he is and possibly even how you never thought he was the right man for the job anyway.
