Cavani is a smart signing. Albeit a very costly one

I don't see how, between Martial, Rashford, Greenwood, Pogba and Fernandes there's enough goals there, the problem they have is keeping them out the other end, it reminds me of Chelsea signing all those forwards and ignoring getting a competent defender.

I have no idea what Cavani is like currently but it still feels like a bit of a panic buy from United. It was said that they wanted to focus on young and hungry players, especially after what happened with Sanchez but they're desperate to get someone in now it seems. I mean you have the age, big wages and lack of EPL experience that could all see this as a little risky but it could also be an inspired signing if he starts banging in quite a few goals.

But yeah, still all feels a little desperate from United at the moment!

Disagree, none of them are a real number 9. All of them are threats but he offers them something they need imo

They need at least 2 decent CB's and an LB. They have Rashford, Greenwood and Ighalo who are strikers. Maybe none have the physical presence of Cavani but spending the money on him and either Dembele or Sancho rather than going for defense is shocking, IMO.

I know all the shit De Gea has gotten and probably much of it is deserved but if you put Henderson behind that defense and expect better you are an idiot. You could put fucking Neuer behind that back line and it wouldnt be much better. They could easily upgrade at LB and both CB positions. Wan Bissaka needs time as he could be a top RB, IMO. He was a good piece of business from them. £90m on Maguire was...decidedly not.

Cavani still very decent. Reckon he'd get goals for them.

Really? Mostly injured lately and a flat track bully, hes done as far as I am concerned. He will slow down everything United are supposed to be.
