Very lucky for City, lose Sancho and then get next best youth prospect. Could be a bad move for Torres.

easy when you can pay youth players 200k a week and their agent several millions without blinking. their scouts must have the easiest job in the world.

There are bargains out there to be had as long as you are decisive in your action with acceptable bids. If you make your interest known then follow it up with a lowball offer, the selling club will throw it in the papers to drive interest and the price up. Then they go to deadline day as the haggling increases.

Can't think of anyone who operates like that.

Apparently Valencia wanted €45m but City beat them down to £25m, so I suppose it comes down to your definition of lowball offer.

I really dont get the whole Zaha thing. I mean he is ok but not 40-50m ok and certainly not 80m ok. Maybe 30m tops. I know Palace arent exactly great and he certainly needs a new challenge.

I think eh would do well at Brighton perhaps. Southampton?

He made a massive error and was badly advised when signing the long term deal with them. He is now stuck at Palace as barring Everton I cant see anyone paying the money Palace will want for him given how important he is for them.

Brighton are making what look like some decent signings for their level in the league.
First season with Potter was all about surviving while adapting to a new style of football. The board and fans will surely be expecting a significant step forward this next season.

Does this mean the rumours of Stones being available are true? I know he’s got an error in him, but really think in our new system that sits deep he’d be insane. His arial and ball playing stats are outrageous.

Ake will be a great signing. Sometimes you have to pay a little more than perceived value to get what you want.
(Unfortunately we tend to always try and pay a little bit less and often miss out on getting the player in early or even missing out completely)

Him and Brooks are the class acts at AFCB.
