Out of interest do you have a second half table? Reckon we'd definitely be topping that.

I've put them both below. Villa are now 2nd in first half table due to last weekend's results:

Games are not 100% won in the first half. Does it help to have a quick start? Sure. But you can still lose games with a decent half time lead. Just see Luton v Bournemouth. Games are generally settled in the second half, so this doesn't bother me one bit. Nor does it bother Ange.

Agree, most goals are scored and most games are settled in the second half. I think scoring the first goal has been shown to be statistically significant but it’s not the be all end all.

Richarlison another great bench option for tomorrow. Would be great if he can force himself back in to the starting 11 after the international break.

Having all 5 of Son, Werner, Johnson, Deki and Richarlison fit at the same time is really nice.

I'm a fan of Marco Silva, what he's done with Fulham is really impressive, especially after losing Mitrovic.

I'd have had him on our shortlist for managers before we appointed Ange.

Going on the banner, it looks like we might be in the blue navy away kit, for those who hate the tea coloured kit

Their pitch is a little tighter and a 5 30 KO will see a pumped up crowd (although not the toughest place to go in that regard)

A good side but clearlry very inconsistent, like many mid table teams.

Sincerely hope its not a case of after the lord mayors show against Villa, but confident Ange will have them focused for the job at hand.

I think the pitch could help though. No large space to counter in so we maybe won't need VdV as much for this. It's just about momentum building after the last game. Time to get back to back wins and build the consistency.
