The amount of changes was too much, especially for such an embryonic mish-mash of a squad/style of play, and it showed. Apart from about 5-10 mins when we mildly built some pressure (and in which we scored) the performance was disjointed cack.

No point in hammering Sanchez, he missed a pen it happens. At least he stepped up tbf. The bigger talking point is why he was even facking taking it and others backed out.

Ultimately was lucky it even went to pens, Fulham had two or three great chances to win it, and overall very disappointing night where we didn't take it seriously enough and paid the price.

This is the worst performance under Ange hands down. No cohesion, players playing for their own self. Utterly bizzare performance

Dejected to get knocked out again to a shit team. We never learn.

If you look back over last 5-6 years and the teams that have knocked us out of cups - it’s utterly dismal. Hardly a top side 6 among them.

As a former keeper, with 42 years experience between the sticks. I was very surprise that a veteran keeper went early on every pen.
When you see a player run up and slow their approach you know they are waiting for you to move first, 1 or 2 early dives I can
forgive/understand, but not to hold you nerve at least once is hard to comprehend. Yes, Dave should not be anywhere near the pens.
It hurts me to say this as a fully paid up member of the goalkeepers union, Forster WTF.

Feel for Sanchez, more annoyed with Forster, if four penalties go in exactly the same spot just to his left, just maybe you try diving that way

That’s on the manager no need to make 9 changes 3 games into the season with no European football to worry about. Should have been going all out for this cup!

Let the pant wetting commence. Seriously worried about a lot of people in here.
It’s not about pant wetting. It’s about questioning the decisions made tonight by the manager. We have no European football this season so there was no excuse not to play a very strong team tonight and it’s only 3 games into the season so they’re hardly running in empty are they

Not surprising that most of the starting 11 were the players Conte "Trusted".

I don't blame Sanchez, he stepped up, I blame Ange for putting him in that position. How is he in the top 5 pen takers?

If such a thing was not clearly ridiculous, those orders would have been we really want to win a trophy so go full strength. I'm certain of that.
Let’s be real, the only thing Levy ordered was to play that 3rd kit that goes on sale on Friday. To bad for him, it will now be a reminder of the kit we went out the Mickey Mouse cup before even the big boys started playing, so no one will buy it

I'm not putting this on Ange either. He's shown faith in the squad players and given some of them the chance to show they deserve to start games, on top of which we only played three days ago. Its the same shit as when we bombed out of Europe's secondary competition's and it was on Jose. Blame the result on one paced players that we can't sell ffs.

We had technically limited players out there tonight, far too many for the few first teamer's out there to carry. We're entirely reliant at this moment in time on Bissouma and Maddison to pull apart opponent midfields. None of the wingers are coming out ahead and our striking options are woeful. Udogie and Porro possess technical skills which puts them ahead of their competitors
We only played 3 days ago. God help us. The season has only started
face facts , the manager has made an arse of it.
