Anyone think Dos Santos or El Hamdaoui might've clicked with this squad?

Reading through this thread I think some people look at it the wrong way... Poch wouldn't be able to turn limited players like Zokora into effective footballers even if they will run around all day (someone like Jenas though, who did have ability & and engine but struggled for consistency, he may well have helped I concede). The players that would have benefited the most are the talented footballers capable of putting in a real shift for the team, but aren't. Modric, whose idea of defensive work for us was often just to hang out a lazy leg in the forlorn hope it would stop the opposition (Madrid soon got him working harder, which shows he could do it if he applied himself), and Bale, who can run all day yet is a pretty lazy individual, are good examples. Its taking the talented individuals and getting them working for the cause as a team.

The biggest player who should have been a star but never was is Dalmat. 2 Footed and crazy skills....shame we only saw a brief glimpse of it before he sparked O'Hara

Definitely...was unplayable on his day. Electric and a joy to watch. Was popular on here from what I seem to remember. :)

I could be alone with this...but Huddlestone? I think he'd work well in this current team/setup

Probably get shot to bits but I think Zokora's athleticism would have been well used in a pressing style.

The difference is that Ali, Dyer, Dembele, Mason and Bentaleb all have a base of football skills that unfortunately Zokora just didn't possess.

Anyone with a team work ethic would thrive. Anyone expressing individual flair over teamwork, having a strong opinion attitude in the dressing room or any midfielder/striker over the age of 27 wouldn't. Due to the high line any defenders lacking pace wouldn't have last long either.

Barmby, Modric, Bale & Anderton would have been immense under Poch. Iversen and Armstrong too as both worked their nuts off. Freund would have thrived for sure. Would've been interesting to see what he could have done with some of our other youngsters in the past. The likes of Davies always used to work hard and would've fit into Poch's system. Going back further Galvin, Ardiles, Hughton, Roberts and Perryman would have done very well.

It's strange though because most of favourite Spurs players wouldn't have stood a chance under Poch! Sheringham, Gazza, Hoddle, Waddle, Ziege and Ginola wouldn't have lasted long at all!
