I’ve been Conte-in up until tonight. So the writing is on the wall question of when. Tonight is solely on the manager but is a result of the ineptitude of the board.
A new manager will come in and we’ll be having the same conversation in 18 months.

For as long as I live I will never understand how this guy has been as successful as he has. Bar for about 2 months last season, his tenure has produced the most bland and disappointing football I can remember in my 25 years of supporting this shower. He's spent a fortune, but has has a squad full of international players looking like they've never kicked a ball. I would be ok with it if there was any sign of a plan or philosophy to get behind, but there isnt. Tonight was the final straw. Leave.

the club put out a video yesterday of a rondo session and no word of a lie I’ve seen better intensity from amateur teams during warm ups. It’s like you say it’s as if some of them have never kicked a ball before.

I think we need to be really careful about what we want to happen now, let's not rush letting him go now and appointing somebody because we're mad. The season is as close to a write off as we can get, maybe we can sneak top4 but if we make a managerial appointment now, then we're at risk of a short term solution delaying what needs to really be done and that is an absolute clear-out. If Conte goes immediately then Paratici probably needs to resign immediately too because I very much doubt he will get around that ban. We need to be clear on our next steps and not fill a position and then hire a DoF that is the complete opposite of the appointment we have just made. We need interweaved decisions not flippant ones to appease anger.

Long term changes are needed, I'd rather continue with how things are for the next 10 weeks if we make the right decision for the next 5 years. So many were sick of the idea of the new iteration of a protect after Poch, well look where trying to rush to the finish has got us. Our managerial appointment has to be cohesive with our footballing structure. Levy needs to dust that manifesto off and actually read it himself this time.

I’m done. Backed him 100%. Awful to watch, negative tactics, Sanchez sub tonight was the nail in the coffin. It’s not just him, but it’s fucking dull

I genuinely think Conte was Levy’s last chance. Our club is at tipping point right now and I think there’s every chance it starts to get very messy from here on in.
Levy has as many chances left as he wants…. Nobody tells Levy to go…. He will leave when he wants, regardless of how many mistakes he makes.

People may not like it - but that’s the reality.

As for Conte…. I hope he was sacked before he even got as far as the changing rooms. He is nothing but a bundle of negative energy around this clubs neck.

if we want any chance, any chance at all of playing CL football again next year, he cannot manage another training session, let alone match.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Any change would be for good, fucking Big Sam for rest of season would be for good. We have disinterested manager on short term contract, getting Christian Gross back for spring would probably provide more than giving Conte a minute more
Ha ha why not. Tbf with ideas like that, I'm all for sacking off Levy and giving you the job.

Just cannot understand what he was possibly going for there. It wasn’t even bad management - it was nonexistent. The mark of someone who’s checked out and it doesn’t really matter to him what happens. And I have every sympathy for him but he’s not the only person who has a life with issues outside of football: sixty thousand paid for that tonight. It’s very expensive to support a football club: this is a lot to us. If you don’t want to be here, you don’t have to be. The half arsed half in half our attitude has completely fucked us.

yep zero forward planning at all. Probably go back to just a manager on the next appointment! Look at Brighton FFS, constant machine of improving
What I’d give to be even 10% as organized and cohesive as Brighton. Top to bottom. These are fucking billionaires in charge of the club. If you can’t create a cohesive plan to keep coach and player transition simple so the club moves forward despite any amount of turnover, hire someone who will make sure that happens!!! It’s actually hilarious how if you gather 30 random members on here, they’d be able to run the club better if they had the control of funds. The more I think about these past 4 years, the more and more angry I feel. I don’t want Poch back (yet), but seriously how the fuck did he do what he did with the idiots in charge. Luckiest 5 years of our modern history. And the second he asks for serious change and extra support the club say “nah you’re alright”. Their second chances should have run out a long time ago.

I'm generally of the same opinion now. The last week was totally unacceptable

But as you say it's as a result of the total mismanagement of the club for the last number of years. And you're absolutely right, we'll be back here in 18 months time, but at least some will be happy if the football is better to watch.

If that's all we can hope for I don't know what to say or where to look at this club any longer.

Great. Qualify for the CL again only to go out of it with a whimper again

Just wow, I have always been in the Antonio needs backing properly before we judge but jees that was grim. Club is stale from top to bottom and something has to give now. Sadly with AC clearly going anyway in the summer time to say goodbye now and at least have that new manager bounce. Our entire club/ season is built for champions league football and for that lot to churn that out is frankly embarrassing and they should be ashamed of themselves and the manager included

That’s the season over really. Ether Conte stays on until summer or he leaves now and Mason takes over until summer. Ether way I don’t see us getting top 4. I honestly don’t believe the club have any real clue who to bring in now, we’ve heard Poch, De Zerbi, Gallardo even Cooper and Franks have been mentioned in the press. We should know the board well enough by now to realise they will probably bumble around indecisively trying to figure out who’s right for next few months so if we decide to get rid of Conte now we have to realise that would likely mean Mason for a prolonged period.
