He can kick and scream all he likes, until he upgrades some of these positions he's going to continue to be frustrated.

i mean im sure he will, once the window is actually open though? i like to see him kicking every ball on the sideline & screaming on the touch line! more so than someone with their arms folded.

Meh... I'm probably on my own preferring a manager who can keep his composure.

Not alone, I do enjoy his desire and passion on the touchline. And can understand why he's probably over doing it a bit, if he even is.

He has to try and extract as much as he can from some of the players out there, and they're obviously all still learning and trying to understand his instructions. His enthusiasm and drive will rub off on tired legs which we likely have come the 70th minute on, these players have had no fitness coaching for over 2 years. That's a drain mentally too when you're on the pitch, so his instruction is key.

I expect he'll tone it back once we start playing more consistently in his mould, but I hope he doesn't dial it back to the stage where he's sat on his arse like Jose, or stood with arms crossed like Nuno.

Yeah, for sure. It's who he is, he was a blood and thunder sort of player. And this squad, to a man, need someone booting them up the arse like that.

Fun fact: win our outstanding game and we sit on 4 with 9 wins. Chelsea and Liverpool has 10. Considering the atmosphere around the club you would have thought we are in relegation battle. And yet TOP4 is in our hands and we can sit above WHU who beat Chelsea, Liverpool, us and everybody says they are having great season. That's why you've got to love math.

BTW. Where is "race for title/top4/whatever" thread? Don't we have one for this season?

I actually forgot the existence of it if you had not mentioned, which I think is a good omission for now TBH. Our expectations of the team are more realistic currently and is also enjoyable with a slow but steady improvement under Conte, all under the radar from everyone, hopefully.

I understand he’s a class manager etc. But I still believe he’s playing the wrong formation. It was worrying we should have conceded 3 goals minimum against Norwich and how much possession they had and how easy we are to play against. I genuinely think what Liverpool will do to us with that much space.
you play through our front 3s poor press attempt then a 3 man midfield easily dominates leave us easy to play through.
he’s come in wanting to play the formation that work 4/5 years ago in the prem.
Norwich also had a few injuries which makes it even more worrying. I think if Norwich score that huge chance early on we don’t win that game.

Chelsea play a 3-4-3...

We need some new players no doubt but there's nothing wrong with the formation.

You should probably ring him up, and let him know.

Tough set of circumstances he faces, but I trust him to make the most of what he has available, hopefully he can get a tune out of the fringe players this week.

I've been enjoying AC's pressers like many on here . He comes across as pretty honest .

But there's one thing he said a coupla pressers ago . He said he had had no discussions with Levy about money for team rebuilding, seemed pretty sure about this . Do we believe this ? or is this question so hot that he is OK about avoiding the truth here ?
Its hard to imagine Conte not bringing this up in early discussions given his past .

Maybe he didnt discuss it with Levy but he did with Paratici ? I believe of the ITK indicated , Levy is not involved in negotiations and leaves it to Paratici.
