Why do we have to qualify again?

We finished 5th in the league, what does one have to do go straight into the group stages?

No team's guaranteed a place in the group stage - only the previous winners but obviously Porto are in the CL this season.

Hopefully we put out a relatively strong side in the playoff games so we get into the group stages, ensuring there will be lots more games for the youngsters/reserves to play in and gain match fitness and expreience.

I was saying the same thing to my housemate last night. Maybe give the younger players the 1st leg and if needed a stronger team in the 2nd leg. That would best thing unless they would rather we got knocked out early and then sent them out on loan.

Hoping for Hearts or Wasaw. Ideally like to both us and Hearts to go through though.

We should play a strong team in both legs, but rest players who started against Everton. If we start away and get a nice lead we should introduce some youngsters at home so fans can get a good look at them.

Too bad, had hoped to get Young Boys again and do better on their plastic pitch.

We did quite well on it, it just took us 30 mins to adjust.

I didn't say their best 3 players(although I accidentally added an extra 'their') which is up for debate anyway. Zapata, Inler and Sanchez were 3 very important players.
