Yea that's really annoying. I can just about stomach the losers in the qualifiers going to Europa but third place in the CL group should be out, not given a reprieve.

So ifone team get drawn into Group A then another team from the same nation gets drawn into Group L...and then they flip a coin and the loser goes into group 4 to play someone else....

I still don't understand why we have to have two European tournaments.

Why not have a straight knockout tournament (until it gets to the quarters/semis) and sod this group stage/qualifier crap.

All the Europa and CL teams could go in the same hat and get seeded per round entry, like the FA Cup, based on their UEFA coefficient and teams could get the same number of games spread over Tues, Weds and Thurs.

Simples.
