I'd like to see the opinions of some of our non-English Spurs fans on how they feel about the club vs country debate. I have the feeling people from other countries care far more about their countries results than we do about ours either through the fault of our press or the attitudes and behaviour of some of England's players.

One thing that pisses me off about the english youth. It seems we are too proud to accept foreign ideas about training our youth. A case in point was the report Howard Wilkinson conducted in 1999. The FA ignored it but the germans took it on and look at the gulf between the two teams.

In the same year in cricket, England were the worst test nation and appointed a foreign coach for the first time. He completely changed our the players behaved and the way the England team was run. 12 years on and we become the Number 1 Test side in the world. It just seems stupid that we don't take on ideas of how to compete with other nations by training our youth to match players other nations have.

Even if we did try to attempt this and blood a young team to prepare for another world cup, the media would build them up and knock them down. It is just do frustrating to watch. Thats why I can become dispassionate about England.

However, I would prefer England winning the World Cup then Spurs winning the Premier League or Champions League.

That's fair enough. The complete opposite for me. I'd take Spurs guaranteeing top 4 for the next 5 years over Ingerlund doing anything, even qualifying for finals.

we do use foreign training methods.

and why on fucking earth would you prefer England to win a world cup ahead of us winning the EPL or ECL? Do you live in Germany or something?

Haven't cared about national footy for years. It's just become the media's fascination. Club is bread and butter.

Right this may be controversial but I don't give a flying fuck about our national football team.

My financial and emotional involvement are to THFC not England

I believe that England are a chance for fans of clubs like Crewe and Hereford etc to see some better football but they do not compare to what we currently see week in week out.

I don't like having to support Wallcott, Terry, Gerard and the like.

I hope we keep Redknapp as we are a better team.

I am patriotic but THFC will always be first for me.

I await to be shot down:oops:
tottally agree
