Tremendous play by England so far, in this game and in the series as a whole. I don't think anyone can be in any doubt who the best Test nation is. It has to be England Number 1!

They bat well, and all the way down the card, they ball superbly on their day. Superb.

And I'm not even a cricket fan, per se, though I have got back into it a lot over the past two summers (including this one).

Could well be an innings defeat coming up for India here the way things are going. Have they made 300 yet this series?

Nope, and barring Bopara who hasn't batted, every player except Tremlett, Anderson and Swann has now scored 70 or more for England this series. That's down to no8 essentially all capable of scoring a big score and we know Swann is capable as well. It's a pretty invincible looking batting lineup at the moment

It is, credit where it's due. One of the best I've seen, Australia at their pomp aside, I'd say.

With the ball their bowling can be, depending on the conditions, a little bit below "top drawer" but on their day they can be deadly as well.

And triffic in the field as well. The full package.

and now on a double nelson, but dealt with that no problem - do umpires still signal the nelsons?

If they manage to get the electrickery working again, i can see Strauss staying in until Cookie gets dismissed - he really is on form right at this moment, even with the stop/start situation he's shown his composure and focus, it would be mean to take away what could be a real monster innings from the guy.

If the weather picks up and he starts scoring big again, i can see him clearing 300

And as i say it, Morgan almost caught  Don't blow it now, dude!

Over the moon Morgan got his century before he gave that up, but Ravi let himself down with that by the sound of it, bit too defensive maybe.

Funny fact just popped up on BBC's live text - Cook's so far faced 480 odd balls in this innings. The entire Indian attack faced 374 for all their wickets

Actually, it's been quite a while since i've seen a player make a stand like this, and not look like they've been through an ordeal - he's so composed and calm, must be drugs
