It is a huge series with a lot at stake but who do you think will come out on top?
I have spoken to quite a few Indians (well English, who are Indian for the cricket) who are not only backing India to win but playing down the English side as not even a patch on the Indian side!
I, for one, reckon it will be close but England will edge it. It is said often but I think it is particularly poignant here and that is to win a test match you need to take 20 wickets. Our bowling attack is better and our superiority in that department is exaggerated by (hopefully) English overcast conditions.
Also, how do you think our batting lineup compares to India. They have arguably the strongest batting lineup in the history of the game but I think ours is not far off. Dhoni, Dravid, Gambhir, Sehwag and of course Tendulkar are formidable opponents but we have an in-form Bell coupled with the run machines Trott and Cook.
Are India really that much better than us? A lot of people tell me that they are but I disagree. I would rather have England's team.
