Apparently Broad's hat-trick is the first ever against India in test cricket.

Brilliant effort.

Good on ya Belly. (And I'm not referring to my stomach). Tomorrow's going to be very exciting. Much like today.

I don't like cricket. I love it.

I reckon we would have taken that at the start of the day, although Cook's wicket is a bit of a kick in the nadgers.

I don't think this one will be a draw. Hopefully some runs tomorrow and some cloud on Monday.

Yeh I agree there will be a result and also I cannot see play going past Monday. If the pitch deteriorates as you would expect then batting is just going to get harder.

Will be interesting to see how England react to that. You can guarantee that if it happened the other way round that the ICB would be shouting about conspiracies left right and centre.

Still a lot of work to do for Morgan and Prior, I think 300-350 is gettable for India. The pitch is getting better if anything and cant see it spinning huge amounts later on.

Probably makes sense, particularly if the umpire called over.

Bizarre really.

He didnt though, only called over when the bails had been removed. Bell was assuming it had gone for four and it was tea. Morgan realised what had happened and tried to send him back.

Still, whats done is done, hes a lucky boy. Hope he goes on to make 250.

Plenty of time for the Indians not to take the bails off, considering half of the team had already turned for tea.

Fair play for withdrawing their appeal, but the spirit of the game is maintained. It didn't need to come to that, laws or no laws.

Very sporting from India. Bell is very lucky.

Certainly very sporting from Dhoni and Fletcher and he should be credited for that.

But the general consensus is still that the umpire called over (on the BBC anyway) because Kumar looked like he'd given up.

Either way it would have been a real shame if the game had turned on something like that.

On a non-controversy point, it's good to see Morgan getting some runs.
