Classy, what a wanker!

Sad news for Ade he's had a rough few years, seems a sensitive big fella too.

He has been pictured training today trying to tackle Danny rose. So not sure what he is going to be doing.

Still, never a nice thing. They might not have got on too well but it'll affect the family.

HH showing his usual sense of perspective and tact.

I'm watching the match today, interesting to see how Ade will do. I'll give him another chance but I will be concerned if he struggles already- we'll see how he gets on with a decent pre-season behind him

Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor could join Beşiktaş according to club president Fikret Orman.

"We are interested in Adebayor, the transfer could still go ahead," Orman said.

"The deal breaker for Adebayor was whether we would play in Europe this season, as soon as we are cleared I will travel to London and complete the deal."

Their final hearing isn't til like August 30 though. Probably deadline day if it happens.

Personally i'd rather keep him over Defoe. A fit and firing Ade causes more problems for the oppo and fits our style of play better IMO. I guess a lot of these changes hinge on Soldado and what happens there.

and defoe is a waste of skin

As an impact sub I think he can do a job but as most have noted for sometime, his game isn't very well rounded or suited to a 3 up top line up.

Whilst I've been impressed with his workrate and coming deeper for the ball in recent seasons, showing some development - it's not his natural game and therefore will always be second best to a genuine lone striker.

I can't understand why the Europa League is the deal breaker for Ade? Just surprised, that's why I've never been convinced by this link at all.

could it be to do with wages?

With out Europa then they would be getting in less money and couldnt afford his wages?

Anyway, all the talk has come from their side i think.

Not sure i remember anyone this side saying Ade is off, or could go

Adebayor is such a difficult guy to figure out. There's enough there to suggest that he can't really be an option as a backup because he's a guy that thrives off consistent match minutes.

But on the other hand, you see how he played the end of the season and against Sunderland a couple of days ago and realize that he can bring a ton of great qualities to a side.

Exactly why we should not sell him - just need to keep him focused on what he needs to do.

"@MrOKanenas: I can confirm that it looks likely that Adebayor won't be with #thfc next season. Personally, I'm gutted. Will find out more from him asap"

This guy works at THFC I think and is good mates with Ade. Interesting
