From what I have read he had a long running feud with his brother who was a drug addict and mentally ill.

Emanuel took him to court in 2011 and had him thrown out of the house he was paying for. Peter also posted a youtube video complaining about how Emmanuel had neglected his family etc.

So yeah not on the best of terms...
