He's a workhorse. Poch seems to value that above anything else.
If Poch was english I feel like more would be made of this

Though I may be wrong since Mourinho got slaughtered for trying turn Pogba in to a workhorse

Why?
It's not Foyth, Skipp, N'Koudu, KWP or Llorente's fault we didn't bother to strengthen a knackered squad and that they're barely good enough as back up players.
We've lost this because of a deluded idea we can't upgrade our squad. Our very best 11 is hard to upgraded, but we've only got about 4 of them fit.
We should have been looking at decent squad players who aren't gonna displace someone's but capable of replacing them whenever needed.

Missing Kane, Dele, Eriksen, Son was always gonna end up with a completely impotent display.

My bad for expecting more quality from them.....

Levy will probably wait with buying new players now - no need for them with only two competitions :woot:

Skipp is 18. Eighteen. Of all the people you can very reasonably blame for today, he ain't the one I'd pick out.

Not blaming him but he's just very very average and we shouldn't be relying on him for any senior games. Needs to go out on loan and get games but I struggle to see him being good enough for us sadly

Pathetic that people are giving him stick.

Stick can be given today absolutely, but he’s not deserving of it. You want to pick on a ( very overrated on here ) youngster, look at KWP. That handball was as bad a piece of defending you’ll ever see on a football pitch. Utterly moronic.

I think we have 5 full backs and only one is good enough. Danny

A Terrible week for Spurs with All hope for this season sucked from the club.
ITK saying we have no chance of signing top quality players.
Knocked out of two cups
Strange lines with it being Toby and Eriksen rested?
Paper thin squad trying to scrap out 4th now.
I know we are often disappointed as Spurs fans but this feels like a 4/5 season low

Whatever the result I'm still fucking proud of this team. What an effort we've seen this second half considering the circumstances, we really are on the cusp of something special.

People will say we are trophyless again but that's just because they're jealous of what we've achieved.
If you mentioned 'being brave' I would have almost believed you...

Just watched Poch intentionally throw away our last chance on trophy this decade, first decade without a trophy since 40's or so. Next time Poch rants about winning culture, hope he looks at fucking mirror first. Tonight was disgrace.

Totally agree. Poch might have improved us, but he has no idea of what we can realistically do atm. He needs to get real.

Our players seem to lack any footballing intelligence, consistently making stupid passes and wrong pass selections.

I’ve accepted that we’re not going to win any trophies for a while as we have too many players who aren’t up to the task nor do they have the intelligence to play in a top team. Finishing in the top four this season should be celebrated like a trophy win.

Unfortunately I fear it's the opposite
And, for good reason.

Levy will legitimately look at the situation and say - we have enough quality in the first team to make it through the season, and we have only 2 more cup games to deal with. Why overpay now?

He'll have a different excuse in the summer - but he is correct that signing any players now won't help the situation this season.

I wished Poch had the mentality that he don’t care which player it is if you play bad for a period you need to get dropped and the academy players will give 100%

Trippier isn’t good enough even today KWP played out of position and was still better than him

Llorente is finished, doesn’t press and is too slow. Sterling and Parrott would honestly offer us more

Nkoudou is not PL quality, I honestly believe Jack Roles would’ve performed better than him

But apparently Poch trust the academy....

2 weeks ago, when Kane went off. I said our season could be over in 2 weeks..... spot on!
Top 4 is all we have left to play for, and all that does is keep that prat Levy happy with a good pay rise!
The game is about glory - what an absolute piss take of a motto we have
It's an absolute disgrace that this squad is in the state it's in.

We're bang in trouble when we lose Toby and Eriksen.

I think they both have massive potential, but I agree that Foyth has a potentially higher ceiling. He's freakishly good on the ball for a CB, and his one-on-one defending at times is excellent...others not so much. If he can cut out the silly errors and bulk up a bit he could be very special indeed.
The one thing to come out of this match is that Foyth goes ahead of Sanchez in the pecking order. Classy display especially the one on ones versus Zaha.
