It would have been a travesty if he’d have been sent off. An absolute joke. Wtf is a player doing playing with hair like that anyway, it’s not professional in any way. You don’t see the women playing in their games without it tied up.
I like your line of thinking, its Cucarellas fault for having a poncey hairstyle

did anyone notice perisic do a little jump while the ball was still in the air for his corner? it's like he knew he'd put it right on the money and was going in.

Royal and Sessegnon got driven back. Kulusevski and Kane couldn't hold the ball due to getting smashed by great defenders. Dier just kept dumping it to Hojbjerg and Bentancur who just kept giving it back. Romero and Davies tried to progress it to Sess and Emerson but they were roasted.

I see our games v Chelsea as unique one offs. I don’t think they have any bearing on our EPL season. I don’t buy this view that because Chelsea gave us the the run around, we’ll be crap v AN Other. No one goes through the season without dropping points. Chelsea dropped 2 points and we gained one.

honestly I think we should send Taylor and his Var mates Christmas cards - I can't believe we got away with one of the goals let alone both

Souness won’t be on these games for much longer. He keeps going on about it being ‘a man’s game’ which it clearly isn’t anymore as there is a woman commentating right next to him. I will be quite glad he goes as I think he is rubbish. And generally ingrained anti-Spurs.
Seriously why was she there , she has not played at a level anywhere near the premier league , I thought to talk about premier league matches you at to at least played in them ,

So the old boy's club should remain forever an old boy's club then? Jones and Cates should be off Sky footy coverage. Chapman should be kicked off MOTD. Martin Tyler shouldn't do the commentary. Jake Humphrey should be dropped by BT. Alex Scott shouldn't present FF. I guess we should get Gabby Logan and Clare Balding off the Olympics coverage whilst we're at it.

I think that's an incredibly backwards way of thinking.

I have no problem with presenters or commentators being women or men who have not played the game but at halftime the ex

I have no problem with presenters or commentators being women or men who have not played the game but at halftime the experts who give there opinions on the game have always been ex players who have played at that level , it’s just a opinion but I also understand how woke football has become

How can someone give expert opinions who have never played the game at that level
She's played at a higher level than you or I. Football is XI v XI. She (and other ex female players) can give very good expert analysis. This view is unbelievably ignorant.

Anyone else notice how social media have assumed Romero “was already on a yellow” ??‍♀️

I think a lot of people think he got booked when him and Havertz got face to face, but it was only Havertz for the foul in the back. But after the crazy scissor tackle against Southampton and the hair pull, him not having a card after two matches is pretty incredible.

I would say that the "experts" in TV studios are there to lend some insight to the game. That might be related to tactics, breaking down specific moments or talking about what changes could be made. You don't need to have played in the PL to be able to offer those insights. They are often very generic (not least because of the time constraints) so the idea that somebody must have played in the PL in order to know what they are talking about is not true in my opinion.

And how is the experience that Graeme Souness had in the 80s in any way relevant to modern football? Why is he more of an "expert" than a woman who has played or managed within the last decade? Even Redknapp is 20 years past any sort of playing career. I think the game yesterday is probably quite different to anything they would have experienced.

I don't know if you read newspapers or The Athletic or anything like that, but the majority of those reporters have never played in the PL - or professional football at all for that matter. Do their opinions mean nothing in your opinion?

If you think that a woman talking about football on TV is "woke" then I guess there's not much to talk about.

Completely understand why Conte has trusted players who he's had longer to work with but the integration of some of the new players needs to start now. I don't know who out of PEH and Bentancur is dropped as I like them both, but Bissouma has to start for me. Will take him a bit of time to acclimatise to Conte's methods but the guy oozes class and will be huge for us. Also think Perisic needs to start next game. Sess is a work in progress and will be decent against poorer opposition, but Perisic is clearly still a fantastic player and we need him on the pitch. The delivery on those final two corners were fantastic and we have a huge team now so need to take advantage of it.

Will be interested to see if Lenglet starts when he comes back from injury, I think with his ability on the ball, he will be a 1st team regular and an astute signing but just depends how long his injury keeps him out (seems he may even be back next week).

Also think Richarlison was brilliant when he came on yesterday. Brought a whole new energy and I genuinely feel he's a fantastic addition.

Overall, it was a tough watch. We were very poor and Chelsea 100% deserved the 3pts, so to come away with 1pt is massive.

I'll be gobsmacked if we see the same Starting XI next Saturday.
Great post mate fully agree with this analysis and hope conte does now start to play more of the new signings moving forwards
