We and Chelsea meet each other again at Stamford Bridge this Sunday 14th August. We are both looking to build on our respective victories from last week. We beat Southampton 4-1 while Chelsea beat Everton 1-0, with Jorginho scoring their only goal with a penalty. Chelsea were not that convincing to be honest, but at least they got the 3 points they were playing for at Everton’s expense.
There is no doubt that Conte has transformed us from a club struggling to make Europa League football to one that to one most likely to be challenging both Man City and Liverpool this season. This is going to be difficult but we now have a squad more than capable of doing this. A successful but expected season for us would be Top 3 and some sort of Silverware.
We scored 4 goals without neither Kane and Son contributing, and that speaks volumes with regards to how far the squad has come. Conte has also said he started this particular game with the same team that took us into the CL last season in order that the new players have to work to displace the others, and the current ones starting cannot afford to be complacent
For Chelsea, nothing has changed much in terms of the new arrivals aside from Cucurella who now has a full week’s training with his new teammates. However Chelsea will be more convincing, therefore ruthless especially as they will be playing us.

Richarlison is expected to feature among the replacements after serving a suspension carried over from his time at Everton.
Skipp remains on the sidelines with a hairline fracture of his heel.
Tuchel will give consideration to handing a first start to Cucurella with Chillwell still on the comeback trail after a serious knee injury.
Armando Broja is pushing Kai Havertz for a spot in the final third, while Tuchel must decide whether to stick with the central-midfield
pairing of Jorginho and N’Golo Kante.
