A good run-out in the end. Will mean a lot for those fitness levels. And glad we turned up; it is just a friendly but confidence will be key going into the City game.

That's completely fair, Kane and Kovacic were completely dominant, it's little wonder why he couldn't get into the game.

He's looked better since they've gone off, can't be a coincidence.
It's never a coincidence why any player looks better if Kante goes off, even the best in the league.

May be reading this wrong but the fact Scarlett got on whereas Clarke, John and Rodon didn't tells me that Scarlett is going to play more of a part in the first team than anticipated.

Didn't see much to get excited about in terms of pressing or shape/patterns in possession. Looking like a slow start to the season.

I’m confident Paratici will spend it wisely.

I’m hopeful. But does anyone remember a key reason for the ‘magnificent 7’ largely failing under AVB was because we bought players with no premier league experience. Glad we’ve learnt from our errors ?

Or the fact we have fuck all other options for a striker :cautious: I do hope he gets a good few games though.

Second half much better after they scored the second. Coming back from 2-0 down at the Bridge shows character. Good to see Stevie get a goal as well. Defence will hopefully be different, but I can see positives at least going forward.

Dele will struggle in a midfield 3 against top sides. It may work against lesser teams.looses possession to easily.

I don’t think bergwijn is good enough unfortunately. But I’m liking the threat the front 3 have on turnover and providing more options with out ball.
