I have only ever seen him for Belguim and he plays CAM every match for them for the last 18 months, part of me is surprised. Because if he plays on the wing for us he wont make the national team imo as he has to beat the likes of Hazard, Mertens and Bruyne who has been amazing on the right wing

Just read through the Chadli thread this morning, so strange seeing this done straight after! Quite excited by this signing!

We were crying out for another winger last season, so makes a lot of sense to me. Some will argue that Townsend is the answer but I'm not sure he's fully developed. He adds a lot to our squad with his versitility and with a reported ~£7 million europe price tag, aged 23 in the Belgian national team, this seems like a very Hotlby-esque astute signing.

Probably a replacement for Dempsey, who as much as I support, I don't think he has the all-round ability that is required when donning the Spurs shirt. Aging too.

Is this someone who would start over Lennon/Holtby or is he a squad player? He is also quite tall standing at 6ft 2 so will add a threat on corners. The thing I love most about someone who I haven't really watched before is getting the surprise if they're either good or bad!! Dutch friends saying he is a good, strong skillful player.

Most probably left wing, so Siggurdsson's position is most under threat. Heard he can play AM/CF/CM/RW though..

Reminds me of the Steed signing - reasonable price for a versatile attacking midfielder (also Belgian!) who can play anywhere across midfield. Malbranque was a very good player for us IMO (let's not get into Gibbsy-esque "vs Modric" territory though), and I hope Chadli can have a similar impact.

Has potential, would still have preferred Mertens for the same price but he certainly can offer something to us. Good signing, the type i have been asking us to go for, for a long time instead of chasing pipe dreams.

Love these relative unknown signings. Could be a hit, could be a miss, but it will fun finding out.

What's promising is he scores and creates. Hopefully a nice mix of Moroccan flair and Belgium consistency.
