Hope we get postponements for next two Prem games
Hope obviously too, that illnesses aren't serious, and all are fit to play in the game after

I agree mainly from a humane view so that everyone gets better and no further transmissions particularly for other players on the opposition etc

From a sporting view point - having three games in hand puts a lot more pressure on the team when it comes to those games... would need to play mid week and weekends on heavy pressured games needing the wins to make up on any lost ground etc

All a bit mad and surreal that this has escalated so rapidly

With this level of spread, feels like Omicron. It's been said the numbers are far greater than reported

Well, it is as it is. From the sporting POV I think it's far better to play the games in hand with the usual type of squad numbers, than playing them now and almost inevitably losing

16! This game won’t be happening.

The club should do what Villa did last year & use all the u23s they can for Rennes & use the u23 coaches. With an outbreak of that scale, UEFA making the game go on is a farce & the club should expose it as such. They are bringing the integrity of their own competition into disrepute by making this stuff go on after such large scale outbreaks. Especially after the calamity in the Portuguese league just 2 weeks ago! These football governing bodies really dont have a clue on dealing with this & it’s been 2 years already.

Different rules for UEFA
The rules quite frankly arent fit for purpose. When you are dealing with an ongoing outbreak where the numbers are increasing by the day, you have to look at it differently. You risk another Belenences/Benfica situation. You’d think entities would learn from a disgraceful debacle that took place just 2 weeks ago. You cannot stick to a hard & fast rule in an outbreak that is seemingly not contained yet.

The real issue is ithappens just when we have 3 PL games close together, when for weeks and weeks before this it's been one game every 10 bloody days or so. Typical.

There is a non-0 chance that Spurs want the game to go on just to be done with the competition.

You'd think common sense at this point is you shut the club down for 10 days to prevent any further spread and allow the dust to settle a bit before rushing to force us to put more people in a room together to prepare for a match when cases are still being found today.

Just say we cannot play the game & take an L? Not hard. Health & safety of players should take priority. If UEFA doesnt get that, expose them to a shit storm.

We can't shut down club today as have a game tomorrow. But shutting it down from Friday for several days might be a good idea

Yeah. Didnt Newcastle close their training ground for 2 weeks last year & not play for like a month? With an outbreak of this scale, it would be prudent to do similar.

Hopefully no long term effects from covid for any of the positive cases. I know too many people with long covid, and I'm talking fit and healthy people under 30. Scary shit. Hopefully everyone makes a speedy recovery. Health always comes first.

It depends whether the people with covid return negative results, and no one else gets a positive.

Isn’t there a mandatory 10 day isolation regardless? That means they’d all miss the Leicester game too

would also mean no training before the Liverpool game
