Tajts your opinion dude and you’re welcome to it obvs, but I disagree with you.
I didn’t see the game so I’m basing it off previous, but I still think my point is valid in that Davies isn’t top 6 standard, let alone top 4.
just my opinion though.
So if you didn't see the game you can't really have an opinion on their performance today to be brutally honest.

3rd game in a row for Romero without a yellow too, right? Looks so much more composed and measured this season without giving up on the aggression when needed. So, so good.
I think not being under constant pressure whilst seeing the other defenders doing stupid shit might be helping with that also.

I never thought a manager can have so much of an impact on the way we play. I was 90% sure it was the players fault based on the previous two managers. This is so refreshing and cant be more excited about whats to come next.

I’ve been impressed with Hojbjerg’s role so far. He’s a calming head when we need it, same with Davies. I think we need to keep these guys. It could be important.

PEH keep, a decent player who can work in the new system - he is better player than he has been asked to be for us. A key squad player, not a key first team player.

Dier/Davis - dont see where they fit in going forward. I often thought they were kept on more as a Kane support group

He did not do anything spectacular today - but Romero looks like he has really settled into a leadership role in the club. Love what what he is bringing to the games.
Nothing spectacular could be good for Romero. All the attributes to be a great defender just needed to calm down a bit (or a lot). Was great today, really solid & composed.

Sounds obvious but it's true - he isn't spending as much time having to throw himself into last ditch tackles. We've gone from spending 75 minutes on the edge of our own box to about 10.

If you don't have to constantly make last ditch tackles under pressure you will inevitably make less fouls.

He isn't diving in as much though to be fair and he looks to be loving his partnership with VDV.

He's top class player and played well today.
That was not my point.
Lo Celso is probably not as good
but that was not my point either
You said Ange missed a trick playing Maddison today and he was motm. Methinks he didn't miss a trick.

The players seem to be really enjoying themselves.

Dare i say it, they may feel liberated now with a superstar like kane no longer around
I wonder.
The desperation to let Kane have the ball led them to escape the risk of error?
Mourinho and Conte destroyed their confidence to actually play football?

You **** Jose. You **** Antonio. How fucking DARE you take away my fucking Tottenham.

FUCK.

Also, fuck you Bournemouth. Put that right up your excellent-stag-do-locationed, surprisingly-high-ratio-of-hot-womened, generally quite nice location.

Up the mighty Lilywhites. YID ARMY.

Lo Celso not really there today for me. Got the ball in a couple of dangerous forward positions and his brain seemed to freeze.
If the reports are to be believed, he’s wanting to move on. I think as long as the window is open and there’s a chance of a move, players will not be fully mentally in the game.

I agree - mostly.

But he had one moment today where he punted the ball up again, and it ended up going backwards - needs to find an inner calm in this situations - particularly when he is facing the wrong direction...

Davies is OK. He covers two positions where we have little strength in depth. Long term obviously we move on, but he's not one I'd be selling this month. Dier yes, agree.
