We’ve got loads of money to spend and should be setting our sights on someone far better than Brennan Johnson
I’m all ears for names. None of them really sound realistic or close to happening.

Johnson though there’s a lot of smoke around his name and clearly a deal to be done with Forest. Sure we should do better, but even he would be better than Kulusevski at the moment.

I can see the logic behind Brennan Johnson when you see the opportunities Richarlison and Kulu have squandered. His pace would completely eliminate the defenders…whether he scores the chances is another thing, but his pace would give him unchallenged scoring chances in this system.

We all know what Kulu is capable of and we're not seeing it. It's either physical, mental or tactical or a combination. If Ange is starting him, i am not going to get on his back. With that understood, i would like to see Solomon on in the 75th or 60th. Bournemouth is expending quite a bit of energy and that speed down the flank at the end of the game could be problematic.

Kulu is actually ponderous looking in that first half.

Can absolutely see why we're considering Johnson

Slowing up our play and good approach work.

Needs a rocket up his ass or hooked.

We should be 3 up. Hope it doesn’t come back to bite us. I’d be delighted to see us control the second half, like we’ve seen in the other games this season.
With Tottenham it is the 'hope' that kills! Next goal is crucial, if we get it then I think we will control the game thereafter, if they get it, tails up and the crowd give them the edge.

Kulusevski worked well in the Conte front three because he played from that inside channel. With options going outside him he was able to come in field and use that wand of a left foot of his. In this system he is on the outside, he has no right foot (that attempt at bending the ball around to Maddison a good example) and that completely nullifies him.

He’s helping massively when he drops short at times, it allows us to use him to escape the Bournemouth press we play into his feet, he lays it off and we’re out.

If he just stands in the box, there’s no outlet for some moves and we’re reliant on one player bearing two or three players.

The whole point is Richy coming short, helping out, laying it off, then bombing into the box to be ready for the next phase of the move.
I understand the concept, and he's done okay at the things you suggest, but he's the striker, and when we need a striker to be doing striker things, he's not there. I agree that in lieu of goals, he works hard, but we can literally get that from an academy player if that's all we want from our No.9.

Yep. Lo Celso had a brief stint in 2019 and yet we give him the benefit of the doubt, despite having done nothing in 4 years. Oh well.
This is such a lazy view really. Lo Celso spent two of those years out on loan and was one of the keys to his team getting to CL semi.

Really good half

I also have my doubts about the front three but they work their socks off and create space for the very good midfield.

I still maintain that I'd like to see Porro not inverted, pushed high and wide and then move Kulu inside. It would suit both of them even though I think Porro has been excellent today

I think Porro's technical ability, when he slides in as an extra Mid, really helps beat the press, and bring the ball out from the back.

Not really. I know you have this weird boner for him but he hasn't done anything noteworthy for us in 4 years.

The way we're playing and hearing the away crowd loud and proud is putting a smile on my face when I needed it after the past couple of days.

Wonderful goal too, keep it up lads.

as much as i've bitched that we need a #1 CB, i have to admit that this back four (or royal for Porro) look very good especially with Biss in front of them. still too open but their ability to cover has gotten even better in a few games.

Bissouma absolutely different class again. Keeps getting fouled but not getting free kicks though 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nothing to do with his performance but Richarlison runs like Phoebe in that episode of friends where Rachel is embarrassed to go on runs with her
