Sounds about right...This is sounding like an epic screw up already...
Agree. In the Levy thread I posted that I was worried that Levy would make a unilateral decision on the next hire and not defer to or at least strongly consider Baldini's judgment. Given Levy's track record in making managerial hires I know who I'd prefer to make the call. From that ITK it sounds as though Baldini is being ignored thus far, hopefully he can navigate this situation with the same savvy that our summer transfer business was handled with and will have a major influence on the final decision.

If Portsmouth hire me as their new manager and give me 250000000$ to spend on players there's a good chance I will have a great record with them. Doesn't mean I am better manager than everyone else.
You have been playing too much football manager if you think you would be a success at any team with no coaching experience just because you had money to spend.

I feel like I just watched the Stoke game with Ramos. Its not that we lost, its how we lost. We looked miles from being a competent team.

Yup. The last 30 mins of the game today reminded me eerily of Ramos' final few games in charge. There was just a certain feeling of hopelessness coming from everywhere (players, manager, fans),

Maybe because the players do not believe in AVB's system. Personally it's bad enough Dawson plays, but to play him in a defensive high line is suicidal! 2 holding mids? Soldado no service? Slow passing? Poor movement off the ball? It all boils down to the managers tactics.

Agree to an extent but nothing in football 'all boils down too' one thing or one person. Workrate certainly doesn't boil down to the manager's tactics.

Youre right its all the guy on the sidelines fault - nothing to do with the 11 guys on the pitch who can't pick a pass or hit the target to save their lives.

If you honestly think our squad is full of world beaters then I pity you. Outside of Lloris when he's on form (which he hasn't been for a couple of games), Sandro when he's not injured and Verts then the rest of the players are either just good, inconsistent, immature or still adapting.

Where are the other world beaters? Lamela? struggling to cut it in the Europa yet alone the premiership, doesn't look ready. Paulinho? Seems to be a rather average box to box midfielder (although maybe he is just overplayed at the moment?). Soldado? seems good if you play one very specific system. Dembele? Chiriches? Townsend? Lennon? In-fucking-consistent. Defoe? 10 years and counting still waiting for him to be anything more than mid table.

The squads good but take your Spurs tinted spectacles off, it's not that bloody good.

Tell me which of our players are in the same bracket as Ozil, Silva, Aguero, Suarez, Hazard, RVP, Rooney - go on, i'll wait.

AVB is making mistakes and if there was any chance we could replace him with someone better like Klopp or Hiddink I'd probably say go for it but people who think that's going to happen are deluding themselves. Sherwood and/or Freund is what's we're likely to get. Who knows, maybe they'll be better - fingers crossed hey, because it looks like we're going to find out...

Completely agree. Those who keep saying the squad is brilliant MIGHT be right, but how can they claim to have ANY evidence to say that with such certainty? None of the signings have been consistent and we already knew players like Dawson, Sigurdsson, Defoe, Naughton were bang average.

Well I hope if Levy/Spurs decide against sacking him, we ALL get behind him and the team. I think they need us fans more now than ever before (y)
