Les Ferdinand has been quoted after scoring that goal vs United that it's the only time he's been booed by his own fans after scoring a goalFrom a moral standpoint that makes sense, but there isn't a lot of integrity left in sports anymore regardless.
i remember when i was young (my old man is Utd) and we played them last game of the season and if we won Arsenal would have won the league.
Spurs were pony as always that season and we went 1-0 up against Utd i was gutted, United eventually went on to win the game and win the title, i was delighted.
It is a part of my make up to despise Arsenal almost as much as i love Spurs.
Years of going to school with nomads in North London in the 90s/2000s whilst they won everything and we barely survived will do that to you.
It's all fun and games for us fans wanting to throw the City game but no professional sportsperson would do that. Not gonna happen. Even in games where we look half arsed it's because the plan isn't working or players are having off days, not because they aren't trying. If City beat us to win the title, they'll have beaten us on merit (though City's merit is obviously also questionable for different reasons).
