I’m not sure I fully understand why so many people, and I’m not talking biased goon loonies, are certain Arteta is going to be a resounding success and lead them to glory for many a year.

What are they basing this on exactly? They’ve showed an improvement in commitment since he took over, if not an improvement in results, but at virtually every other club this is passed off as a new manager bounce ( their form hasn’t actually warranted such a description imo )
Is it because he worked under Pep? Brian Kidd, Carlos Queiroz, Steve McClaren, all these managerial geniuses learned from Fergie to be fair...

A good number two is absolutely no indicator of how good they’ll be in the hot seat.

He’s not a little unproven, he’s completely unproven. He might end up being a complete disaster and never land a decent job again

It's all because of Pep and probably the rumor that he was going to eventually take over from him. I have a mate (non gooner) who is certain he's going to turn them into a force again, I personally don't see it.

I like how the guy finishes with 'Yeah, it's easy to patronise Arsenal fans'.

It's not. I can't fucking find any. God knows I've looked.

The host of this week’s Sunday supplement didn’t believe it when that was said by one of the journos this morning. He had to check and was surprised. Just shows how the narrative around his appointment and their form has been handled. They’ve won one game. Yet because of how they’ve been written about people think they are doing well. It’s like their summer transfer window and we’ve seen the result of that.

Hopefully Burnley turn up and turn them over today. He could do with being under a bit of pressure.
I seen the end of that and couldn't believe what I as hearing especially from Henry Winter, must be a personal friend of Arteta lol

We've got bigger problems at the moment than giving a monkey's about Le Scum.

Saying that, despite their insipid form, Ar5ena1 are only 6 points off us. We are 12 off Leicester.

Villa (A)
Chelsea (A)
Wolves (H)
Burnley (A)
Man Utd (H)

Up next with a FA Cup replay and CL R of 16 thrown in for good measure, lacking our talismanic striker (again).

You'd say we have to win both home games and at least hold Chelsea to a draw to have chance of keeping pace with the Top 4.

I actually don't think we will win against Villa, Burnley or Man Utd nor will we beat Chelsea and worry Wolves will turn us over. I'm a classic optimistic Spurs fan.

So 4 points / draws at best from those next 5 fixtures … and I thought I was pessimistic lol Have faith Jose is getting us there, were getting stronger.
