Oh it was absolutely not Arsenal's fault for letting the poor guy go

Just thought it was interesting to highlight another player in their demise...one that often gets overlooked
He was getting towards the end of his career anyway; they would have had to replace him a few years ago.

He is 35 now but Villarreal lynchpin and four Spain caps in 2019 suggests that they could've really done with him despite his age.

1 good 45minutes.. and everyone is saying that this is a turning point and arsenal will be back challenging for the champions league spot.

i think they are in for a rude awakening.

The barcodes were very unlucky not to be leading when Arsenal scored. Good victory for Arsenal but they rode their luck.

A good 45 minutes from them but one where Newcastle gave them the first two goals by being totally disorganised and had given up by the time they scored the last two.

They're not out of the woods yet.

Of course they are, it’s the narrative. Annoyingly it can boost the team if they believe their own hype.

At 2 up it could easily of gone to 2 all and it might of been a different story.

It would be nice if they lost a couple of upcoming games though but I don’t think they will if the opposition don’t take their chances like yesterday. They’ve Everton and West Ham at home then Southampton away. Not the hardest fixtures.

When Souness started banging on about Pepe and in the same breath mentioning Henrys name it makes you realise how much fucking smoke they blow up some teams back sides. He said that Pepe is still young so has all sorts to offer - he's 24 years old and they paid £70 mill for him, he better fucking be Henry otherwise you're fucked.

The state of punditry, Souness really is a grade A ****.

I like Souness but hearing he said that makes me wonder if he was on the sherrys before, during & after the game

Maybe he just loves Arsenal? I just wanted to use a naughty word at the end of what I wrote tbh.

I would say that those are fairly tricky actually. Spam is clearly easiest game in there, but London derbies and all that.

No doubt that they have a fixture run that could see them climb the table....but then they hit a spell where they face Wolves, Leicester, us and Liverpool...as well as a rescheduled game against City.

They'll have turned a corner when they start winning matches away from home. Not scoring four against Newcastle at the Emirates.

Indeed. What did they spend 70 million on if not a player of Henrys quality ?
