Watching that game last night has just reinforced my belief that the referees are corrupt. Arsenal should have had 2 players sent off in that game, Xhaka and Lacazette, possibly 3 with that twat Sokratis doing his best Jane Torville Bolero impression.

Xhaka was kicking Leeds players all game, yet gets kicked once and the Leeds player is booked? Sorry, but for me that's not ineptitude, it's corruption. Anthony Taylor making sure the goons had every advantage.

And Lacazette? They spent 2 minutes going over and over the Son kick out to make sure they gave him a red card, Lacazette kicked out and they give it a cursory glance and take no action at all? Even Ray Parlour on Talksport said he was "lucky," which translated into non-goon bias means he should have got a straight red.

No one wants to say it, no one wants to admit that it could be part of the English game and so many are so quick to shout it down as paranoia, but the evidence has been there for years, English referees are corrupt because both the FA and the Premier league are corrupt. They absolutely MUST have their "elite" teams representing them because their global followings produce viewing figures globally, which generates more money. It is more and more evident that referees have been briefed to ensure this, and last night just underlined this.

It’s no surprise that the club sponsored by emirates gets favourable treatment in the emirates cup at the emirates stadium.

How many home games against lower opposition have they had since they started sponsoring it?

Durham was banging on about that yesterday and called them "lucky." It's not luck...

The English game has the biggest following in the World, with the biggest English clubs combined having a following that must number well over a billion. If those clubs aren't challenging for titles, winning trophies, getting into the CL regularly, then those fans who follow them will lose interest in the PL/English game because they can't bask in the reflected glory, they'll switch to other clubs in other leagues and the PL/FA revenue takes a hit.

There's no money in "lesser" clubs getting success, not from a global viewing perspective, so it is in the interests of the PL/FA to ensure that the "elite" English teams are ever present in the honours list season after season.

I don't think there's ever been a sport anywhere near as corrupt as ours, they'd make boxing blush.

Martin Keown trying to insist that was no more than a yellow yesterday:ROFLMAO:

Why do they persist with biased pundits who played for the clubs being shown?

Arsenal still have the same problems. I see little difference except a small new manager bounce. The media are desperate for Arteta to be a managerial genius for some weird reason. Mikels hair is also too thick. He looks like a Spanish Lego man.

You might be right, I didn't think of a second tier....makes sense.
Pretty sure it's only single tiers at Selhurst.
Been a long time since I was last there though, in fact Wimbledon were a football club when I was last there!

I heard that, and thought he was joking at first. Then when he saw the replay he was like "oh, urm, yeh, that doesn't look great maybe the yellow was just about warranted" while Meyer's ankle was a fucking right angle.

I mean, it's not surprising that football has moved beyond someone like Keown's comprehension when the rest of his species is literally extinct.

Yeah, saw a picture of that in the west ham thread, in an article about shit grounds.
I completely forgot about that, which is worrying as I used to go up there quite a lot! My mate was a Wimbledon fan and it used to be 15 quid a ticket. A good cheap way to watch footie.
My only excuse is that I was in my early twenties, so I spent most of my time drunk! :cautious:
