We got a spot of luck tonight. Had they won, it would be likely we'd be 9 points behind them come Sunday evening. It's already likely to be 6, but 9 would have been psychologically a mountain.

They've had a real kick in the dick playing a team like Sheff United on a Monday night under the lights etc. Any of the smaller teams get up for it on these nights.

Still. Fuck em

Mentioned this in the PL thread but as it is Arsenal ...
.
  • Since the start of last season, Arsenal have been shown more cards for diving than any other Premier League team (7)

Pepe just needs time, he has arrived from an inferior league so needs to get used to the PL. You can see he has talent, just needs to sort out his final third play.

Emery reminds me of AVB. They both set the team up on paper to play positive (really high line, fast wingers, play out from the back) yet in reality it's really turgid and boring to watch. Actually it's what we've been doing all of 2019 but the difference is we were an entertaining attacking team to watch and have fallen off a cliff.

I guess that this will coincide with Arsenal making the final stage payment of his transfer fee, i.e. in 5 years' time!

Really appreciate the fact that BT Sport have put what sounds like a 12 year old Brummie on co comms for their match tonight. That and the half empty stadium really complement each other nicely.
