I doubt very much this is down to wages or fee. Brentford are clearly not as big as a pull as Spurs.

Dissapointed, but €30m for an 18 year old is a lot when you are buying potential. How many have failed to make it from that level.
The PL is a massive step up from the Belgian league. They must have thought long and hard before walking away from this one.

If we haven’t got him it’s because we didn’t want him enough. Said before was not blown away with the clips I saw which are supposed to be the pinnacle of what the player has achieved so far. May be we will be wrong but to be honest after watching what Gil was supposed to offer, same with Sessegnon, NDombele et al I’m not going to cry about it.
