Among the fjords, where talents gleam,
Two clubs vie for my football dream.
Hijackers lurk, the stakes are high,
Which clubs seek my wings to fly?

Yes it’s nusa . it’s us and another premier league big boy but they can’t do the deal this month we can 😘 works being put into it

Man Utd are the other club . Chelsea lurking in the back and a couple of others but serious intrest is us and Utd

Nusa probably needs his own thread now before this one gets shut down.

Told there's definite interest this window from my end to add to what WLB has posted.

Yes. Hopefully Ange can have a word with him, if he hasn’t already. That seems to have worked pretty well so far.

If we got Nusa done this window would probably be the best I can remember. Especially for a January.

We would be able to point to how our young signings are doing (not you Gil) compared to Man U and hopefully he sees us as a better environment to come into.

Worried when we & Utd are in competition for a player, as, whatever we think of them, Utd are probably the biggest club & have a huge reputation worldwide. However, we somehow managed to persuade Dragusin to come here rather than Munich, so who knows?
Mind you if Utd can deal in the Summer it might suit Brugge to wait & have a bidding war?

Would be an unbelievable coup by the club, a much bigger profile than when we got Udogie and Sarr and they were both highly rated and wanted.

The perfect profile for us and Ange would turn him in to a top class player imo.

Really hope we can get this done 🙏🏻

Nusa looks an undeniable talent and with a skillset that looks tailor made for Ange's system.

I think an obvious reason why we'd look to push through the deal now is that he turns 19 in April and unless i'm mistaken, would elapse the 3 year registration period for HG status.

I do think we are extremely lucky in that a lot of the other big clubs round Europe are ether broke or stacked in LW. Certainly feels like serendipitous timing on this one if we can get it done.

I cant pretend to know a lot about the player but its very promising to hear us go after these kind of prospects and have the foresight that they will be HG. Really feel like we are building something amazing

That’s great, I was worried it would be Pool. He’d be nuts to go to United now, who knows what system they’ll play or if their manager will even want him come summer.
Utd pay ridiculously inflated wages though. Sounds like we are going for him hard right now because in the summer there will be a lot more clubs after him who will then be able to pay the money. So this is our best shot at getting him.

Yeah and it's why they are scrambling around to appease FFP quota's like many other clubs right now. If these clubs don't change this they'll be struggling season upon season despite their massive revenue streams.

should ease this summer quite a bit as I think Martial and Varanes contracts are up

Indeed but it's not always that simple because whoever you are bringing in will be looking at what other people in the club are earning before they commit to signing a contract. They'll have to move away from the big name galactico type players for a couple of years imo, because they'll all want Rashford money. It'll be a slow process reducing the wage bill if they still expect to compete for the top players. This why we have a huge advantage right now. A club on the up that can pay parity with players already here. If you are Nusa there is only one club you are choosing out of ourselves and Utd right now imo.

Worth keeping in mind that Nusa already turned down a supposedly very big offer from Chelsea last summer as he didn't think it was the right move for his career. Wise kid. But i think your right that there will be a lot more competition come summer. I do think more appealing teams then Utd would come in for him and thus his value will also rise.

If his club are not desperate to sell and can wait till the summer to get a bigger fee I don't see this happening

Like most European clubs they are not really in a position to turn down a good fee. After all they would have sold him last summer if Nusa had said yes. They know he wont be there next season. The key factor is they don't want him leaving now as they qualified for the next round of the Conference League and they also aren't having the best season, currently 5th in the league, 14 points off first, and they really want to get some sort of European place. Weather or not 22 mil will be enough I don't know tho. One also have to keep in mind that these things are never guaranteed, what if Nusa gets injured or his form dips significantly then his price will go down a lot. I mean look at Orban, he just moved for €13 mil and only last summer he was valued at €30 mil.

Sorry for my ignorance, and sorry AC as there's no Nusa thread yet, but i haven't seen Nusa play but his out put is pretty horrendous. I get he's a kid, but you'd think playing in a very weak league he would at least bang some goals in...

It is true every transfer is a risk, especially an 18 year old because sometimes things happen and they just don't turn out the way we hoped. Having said that, Nusa looks the real deal and already has played 38 games in the Belgium Pro League and also has 4 full caps for Norway, he is as close to a sure thing as you can get. Really hope we can get him because it would be a bit of a coup. I'd guess we are trying for Nusa and Rowe with Nusa possibly the number 1 target with Rowe as our backup if we can't get the deal over the line. I'd be happy with either.
