Shame if we miss out as he sounds like a top talent in a position we need to fill to futureproof Sonny but he’s not the only young talented LW around so wouldn’t make much difference to the rest of our season so we can always reassess this summer.

Would be disappointing but not the end of the world given we got our top 2 targets.

Also Brentford would be a better career next step for Nusa right now

Wish Brentford had beaten us to BJ tbh rather than us getting into a bidding war

Maybe Levy doesn’t want to do the same thing twice

Well personally, I fully commend how the club have gone about their business this window, and I won't have a problem if they have a price for Nusa above which they are not prepared to go. I've also got not problem if the player chooses a lesser club because he will play more. Let's see how this develops
The same goes for the summer, we ended up in a similar position with Raya and walked away as soon as the deal was past whatever parameters we had. Can only hope that they’ve got another target lined up like we did with Vicario - for once I’m not saying that with the same desperation I would in the past (also as I think Nusa would be the cherry on top for this window rather than a necessity)

Sounds like Brugge trying to pull a fast one. Brentford have probably come in with a higher offer and Brugge have bluffed that the player has agreed terms with Brentford so we had better match their higher offer. Player's camp saying otherwise. Not a good look for the Belgium club if so, and hopefully we have the player committed to us to be able to keep to the agreed price.

Sounds to me players side just keep us in the loop if there is a last minute issue between Brentford and Brugge.

Surprised Brentford would take this risk, because £30m is a huge risk for them. We can afford it if he doesn’t pan out but I’m not sure Brentford are able to risk it unless they’re banking on the Toney money in the summer
It’s fine, the parachute payment will cover that 🤫

It sounds like the difference between us and Brentford's bid is that Ange wants him now whereas Brentford are happy to buy now but loan back to Brugge.

If Ange wants him it would be disappointing to miss out, particularly to a club we should be able to easily compete with on transfers.

But if its a case that the valuation shifted then with what is already a risky transfer I could understand us backing out.

If it's not on then I hope we spend the money elsewhere this window.
