I dont want to come across as fickle but ive recently decided he's the nicest guy in the whole world and all the controversy over the last decade or so was all a series of silly misunderstandings, he obviously doesnt even know the meaning of the word ego let alone have one.

My change of opinion has nothing to do whatsoever with the last 2 days. I also love managers who wear gilets, it's a top fashion choice.

Durham on Talk Sport just now. Wow. Just gave us/Levy massive credit.
I’m excited.
What he just said was quite spine tingling!!

We know it ended badly for Poch and everyone shares the blame, but how about showing Poch a little respect for what he achieved at Spurs without the backing?
Or we could stop reframing everything to be the fault of others by saying he was t backed when he clearly was

Hopefully on here we can be positive about the future whilst not having to downplay what Poch achieved also.

Totally agree. If, as we all hope, Mourinho continues to be the winning manager he is and we get a few trophies, then it needs to be remembered that it was Poch who started the journey and got us where we are now to enable Mou to take us to the next level.

Poch will always have massive respect from me and I hope it never gets lost on us fans for what he has done for us and also through difficult times with the stadium move/delay etc etc.

I think it was a great press conference. Mourinho was very much recognisable as himself, but very much more likeable than before. The changes are subtle, but enjoyable. I wonder if that will also describe his football. I thought he was more grounded, more centred, more at peace with himself and who he is. With less of a need to generate controversy. If also his football has evolved like the man, I see no reason why he wouldn't make the fans proud.

Out of all the things that he said, which frankly most of it were adrenaline pumping stuff, the one that impressed me the most was how much he emphasised the work that Poch had done for this club and if we are successful, it's just a continuation of the foundations that Poch has laid and Mou is here to consolidate and take it further.

Awesome stuff.

Love his confidence saying we can challenge for the title next season

That's what previous managers would say... 'challenge'.

Jose said win it, we can win it.

Thats the difference in mentality we just signed. We just signed a winner.

Am I the only one who (whisper it quietly) actually doesn’t really want Mourinho to change?

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want him poking opposition coaching staff in the eye, picking feuds with club doctors or calling our players fat ***** in public.

On the other hand, I don’t want him to turn into mr respectful, nice guy either. Not because I don’t admire that in a person, but because that is not him. He needs that edge, it’s part of what makes him successful and lights fires under players and gets under the skin of the opposition.
