The Daily ITK Discussion Thread: LEVY TELLS ALL - 21st January 2014

Anyone think we would be better off moving Chadli to striker and try to develop him there full-time and then pick up a LW? I don't see the Chadli thing working at all at LW but he is big and strong. Maybe he could be our young striker candidate.

The Daily ITK Discussion Thread: LEVY TELLS ALL - 21st January 2014

No way I assume we could get rid of Chadli and Siggy this late in the window AND bring in a better replacement like perhaps this rumored Ukranian but it would be nice. Chadli and Siggy both strike me as mid-table starting material, and Spurs hopefully inspire to be more than just that. Lamela...

The Daily ITK Discussion Thread THE SHERWOOD TAPES 16th January 2014

Just wanted to say that this makes perfect sense and should probably have been done from the very beginning of the year. Perhaps Townsend on left and Lennon as cover for Lamela instead if you can't get another LW. It seems so obvious with the talent that was brought and perhaps is the main...

The Daily ITK Discussion Thread - DEADLINE DAY

Arda Turan still sounds like a perfect fit - buyout clause of 20 mill pounds, plays left wing but is interchangeable in several spots along front, would fit great with Eriksen and Lamela behind Soldado as all three could switch around and are creative. However, I can't help but think this...

On the wing issue, Chadli certainly flashes potential and I think will turn out to be a good purchase, but who is there on the left side if he gets injured? AVB seems to be building a team with two potential players for each spot, and right now unless you count Siggy as a LW, there is not a...

In regards to El Shaarawy, Kaka is going to Milan and SES didn't play tonight so a transfer might be in the cards but most "internet" reports have him linked to Man City. Would love him though as he seems to fit what we need in a LW attacker and has loads of potential. Him, Lamela, Townsend...

Except that Spurs seem to ALWAYS be the one bit by the injury bug. Reports that Capoue has broken fibula. Nice to have more quality depth this season but it just seems to be Spurs luck.

I for one am just going to be happy when tomorrow is over and the constant roller-coaster of emotions is gone. Levy has done probably as well as he realistically could do with selling Bale and bringing in replacements, but at the same time have lost a world-class player and haven't replaced...

No one thinks El Shaarawy is a possibility? Baldini using his Italian connections? LW which is needed? If we're talking about Suarez, Mata, etc., why not SES too?

I agree that Mata is a no-go. Chelsea doesn't need the money and has absolutely no reason to sell to us. The Willian thing, even back to Modric. Makes no sense to sell to a rival and make us stronger.

As much as I hate Suarez as a person, if it happened it would be tremendous business from a pure football standpoint. Basically swapping Bale for Suarez (who some would say was Bale's equal in BPL last year), Lamela, and Eriksen. Crazy.

If it was Suarez, would Lennon or Siggy plus 45 mill make the deal happen on their end? Both look like they might not get much chance here with Townsend and Lamela on the right and Eriksen and Holtby at the ACM spot.

The Weekend ITK Discussion Thread 1st September 2013

Why would we deal with Madrid immediately after selling Bale? I can't see any of their players coming our way. Why not just make it part of the Bale transfer? "Jaw dropping" has to point to Suarez and the 45 mill pound mark is right around his value. Liverpool is 3-0 without him so...

Well, those names would certainly be shocking, correct? That's the only reason I put them down. I realize that there is no realistic chance at all of them happening.

The Weekend ITK Discussion Thread 31st August 2013

Hulk could be considered a huge transfer (regardless of his name and physical size) because of his reputation and cost but I don't think that would be a shocking one. Names I could think of that would be "shocking" and "huge" but might also make some semblance of sense would be Rooney, Falcao...
