There's no way we're buying an attacking player for that much unless Adebayor is off the books. So until I hear some movement on the Ade front, not getting overly excited.

Schalke apparently wanted Adebayor. Draxler plays for Schalke. Their president has stated they would want 60m Euros for Draxler. 45m pounds (around 53m Euros) + Ade (around 8m Euros in value) = ....

currently eating ready 'salted' crisps reading the ITK after a bad day out.hope its true. hope to christ its mata would love that. he was 'plan a' two summers ago according to harry and it would be jaw dropping for the chavs to do business with us.

on a side note re:bale im glad spurs have done what every good lad should do when a six year relationship comes to an end. a beautiful relationship where you never saw the end coming, but when the hispanic better looking bloke swoons your gal her head is turned. you try to reconcile to avoid the inevitable - a few nice meals out and the promise of future happiness, but nothing you can do can change their minds. they are already in love with the latin looking stud. so what do you do? you ring your best mate (franco in this case) and hit the best bars around, take some trips abroad and try to bang the best looking birds available to help erase the pain and remind yourself that life is beautiful and can be better than with your gal. spurs have done that and have banged some bloody lovely argentinian, danish, belgian, brazilian, french, spanish and romanian women to get over it. and are now moving on as should we.

Everyone's saying €45m for Juli is ridiculous and you're right, it is. But think about it, if Spurs spend that much on him, unless he flops which he wouldn't, he's not going to move on for any less than that. In fact, if he were to move, the club buying would surely have to pay in the £60m mark, meaning he probably wouldn't move on for a long time

Who knows though. It's just guessing games. I'd still be over the moon with some LB comp/cover and another striker in, never mind some £45m nut-buster special.

My point on this is that, if it is a completed deal, it's unlikely to be someone like Draxler who played yesterday. No?

It was almost a hope of mine that Rose would get exposed by a quality right winger today - and he did.

Perhaps this will force Levy and Baldini to go back for Coentrao - AVB wants him.
