You forgot Siggy, 13 players for 4 or at most 5 positions!

The squad is crazily top heavy with midfield players, we could quite easily afford for 3 of them to go if the right offers come in. No wonder players are unhappy and it's got fuck all to do with Sherwood, we are simply overstocked with players. I think 1 maybe 2 will go this window and it will grow to 3 in the summer.

My tuppence worth is that Holtby & Capoue will be 2 of them and i think that Siggy is likely to be the third. 10 players then for for or 5 positions and that alone should see morale improve, we should then be addressing our areas where we are currently short which is at CB, LB and up front. Between now and the end of the summer seeing 3 midfielders out and 3 quality players in would see us with a far better balanced and thetefore likely happier squad.

totally overstocked and none of them much better than the other and its a total mishmash .. for me we still actually have only one winger or wide player at club in lennon and maybe townsend but neither can cross for shit haha... at a push lamela but i think he best central like sigss and chadll... im happy for erikssen to play on left for moment cos he is not physical enough in center.

but thats a joke trying to play players not in their right position. levy needs some kick in the bollix and think baldini is just a chancer like sherwood is even if sherwood does tlak alot of sense at times. seen no coverage of what he said today but the key to all this and no matter who is happy or unhappy is getting into the top 4... everything will fall into place nicely if we achieve this.. win win for me then no matter who is in charge.. top players stay and at least a few top players will be keen to join

Weird times at Spurs.

I think if there is malaise, it's probably down to the fact that we brought in so many new players and then dumped the manager and the system they came to work with. So now there is extra unease.

The results have been good, but as we learned under AVB there can be bad undercurrents even while we have good results.

The only thing that doesn't make sense is selling Capoue.

I don't get this senior players unhappy things ? Who are those possible unhappy ones ?
After Sherwood came, most seniors still play-Kaboul, Jan, Sandro are injured - can't see why they would be unhappy.

Likes of Dembele, Eriksen & Lennon have played & contributed more.

Only lot with problems are Gylfi, Holtby , Capoue & Chadli.

I was not happy with appointing TS as manager - but am quite happy how things have turned out in footballing front. Just feel some comments here are, really unfair towards TS.

I mean, understand low morale after 3-0, 5,0, 6-0 battering, but can't see why that would be the case now.

If the morale is low, I have yet to see that in on-field...

Losing an English player isn't the problem, it is gaining a foreign player that is. The quota isn't FOR the number of English/home grown players (you can have 0 of those if you want), the quota is for the maximum number of non-home grown players (you are allowed 17 maximum).

Exactly. We currently have 16 foreigners in our squad and two of those are U21s. In terms of quotas in the squad we are fine.

The fucking voice of reason!

Fellow Spurettes volunteer me a name from Eriksen, Lamela, Chadli, Capoue, Holtby, Townsend, Lennon, Dembele, Sandro, Pualinho, Bentaleb and Carroll who you would prefer to sell.

Now tell me who would play in your midfield long enough to form partnerships that are cohesive and would support a front pairing of Ade and The Soldier. Then tell me how you would keep the ones that don't make it happy during a World Cup year?

Tim has been honest at his press conference today, and understands (unlike AVB) that you just cannot rotate players just to keep them happy and be a successful side. But then again i guess that he's really failed since he took over hasn't he..............i mean let's bury this guy then wait until LVG comes to us and.....sells half the fucking midfielders that he doesn't see a need for either.

about bloody time someone injected some sense...... the same itk that had very little for us, and were criticized for what little they had are now being held aloft as bona fide harbingers of doom...... be patient and watch and wait....... we are winning more than we are losing at moment...so not the time to act like whining arseholes

AVB dumped the system. We bought for 433 and didn't play it once.

Out of those names, I'd rather sell Lennon, loan out Bentaleb and Carroll and purchase a better winger who can contribute more than Lennon, preferably a left winger

I'd play a 4-2-3-1 with Sandro and Paulinho as the 2 holding mids where Sandro sits back while Paulinho plays a bit higher up the pitch. Dembele would be cover for Paulinho and Capoue cover for Sandro. Eriksen at the #10 with Holtby as cover. Lamela on the right with Townsend as cover. Newly purchased winger on the left with Chadli as cover. Soldado as striker. Depending on the game, it could easily transition to a 4-3-3 as well. I would be encouraging them to attack more and let them play more freely than Andre was. My issue with Andre was that he was a bit too strict. I wish he gave the players alittle more freedom.

Saw the video.
Why the wont shed any tears remark?
Pointless comment and not good for morale

Just read the transcript and he actually said if NO-ONE leaves he won't shed any tears, so saying (in public at least) that he's okay if players stay....

To be fair, a 4231 can easily become a 433 at any time. We might have played 433 at times.

I do remember going 433 against City last season in the 2nd half which completely changed the game in our direction.

Why all this negativity over Ali Z and AY ?

I think people can guess my thoughts.

Has Ali G ever said anything positive ? Ever ?

Get a grip people.

Just wanted to say that this makes perfect sense and should probably have been done from the very beginning of the year. Perhaps Townsend on left and Lennon as cover for Lamela instead if you can't get another LW. It seems so obvious with the talent that was brought and perhaps is the main reason so many Spurs fans are frustrated.

Have Lamela, Eriksen, and Soldado started a PL game together yet? Ridiculous that they haven't if true.

You get the feeling that Tim has obviously ruffled a few feathers in the squad, and some of them don't like it.

But I like the competitive, feisty nature of Sherwood, I think it's what some of them needed... A kick up the arse!

And if they're going to cry about it, they can fucking do one as far as I'm concerned.

Think they started Southampton together and then Sherwood fucked that right off 59 minutes in and hasnt given it another go since.
