As a club we always act like we have more important things to challenge for than the cups.

But reality is we should have bagged a load of EFL Cups, FA Cups, conference leagues and Europa leagues In the last ten years or so.

This is such a boring trope. People want to see this club win a trophy again. With no European football this season, this was the best shot we’ve had in years. People have every right to be reasonably upset without being called things like “bed wetters and “pant wetters”
If you're getting upset about losing a football match in what is essentially a second string cup, 4 games into a massive reset and rebuild of the entire club and it's philosophy then yes, you're a bedwetter.

Quite an uphill battle from the get go with so many changes against a competitive Fulham side away from home. Ange's first mistake and unfortunately it is a big one with leaves us only with the FA Cup.

Even during the game there were some questionable decisions. Dane at halftime? Keeping Skipp and PEH on for so long? Sanchez pen?

He has done a lot of things right since coming here, but tonight was a real shocker from the manager. Hope he can learn from this.

And you do? because you have seen some interviews and press conferences?

Mate I grew up in Melbourne when Ange was first coaching.

Like I said - I dare any of you to say to his face that he takes orders from ANYONE on team selection :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Penalties are always lotteries but poor Sanchez shouldn’t have been 3rd. Tbh his pen wasn’t the worst I’ve seen but he did telegraph it. One of there’s could easily have hit the bar and gone out. I wish Forster called their bluff and stood still for some of them, if he did he should’ve been able to react quick enough to save them as they were passed in and within reach.
this game also shows we’re a few injuries away from being in trouble as our “ back ups” are not good enough.

A lot of overreaction here. Brand new manager who had a shortened preseason of fixtures and large squad that he is still familiarizing himself and putting trust with. He needs to see some of these players in pressure situations of games that matter and would rather he do wholesale changes here as opposed to not playing our best 11 in the league.

Some of this is just luck of the draw as we had the hardest fixture getting a PL team away in our opening round. Most managers would have the luxury of more preseason games and a couple of weak opponents in this Cup to get a better grasp on their team.
The guys down at the dog and duck could tell you that Skipp, Sanchez, Davies etc aren’t the sort to throw into a one off cup game. It’s never worked for us, why expect it to change.

15 years since we won a cup and , as someone else said, out of this one before the decent prem teams even enter the draw.. so who's overreacting?

Continue the momentum, start with your strongest team, get the game won, then make changes.... We're only 3 games in, they can't all be knackered.

Sorry Ange, this is all on you mate.

I was absolutely dumbstruck to see Davison stepping up for a pen. I said to
My son he can’t pass 10 yards how the hell is he going to score from 12. He looked nervous as hell and I don’t think there is a spurs fan alive who would have suggested he take a pen!
I also Said during the game I guess he wants to stay at spurs that’s why he is playing so bad - put off perspective buyers!
same with peh. If united still want him take the money and run! Though I can’t believe they will after that display!

Guessed this would happen after a first loss.

Ange out is it now?

Quite worrying how some of you lot can go from 100 to 0 so quickly.

Ange barely had any pre season games to really test out the squad, yes, the SQUAD. He needed to use this game to test out more squad players.

Was it a huge gamble? Yes, but we cannot play the first 11 - 12 players for the whole season.

It's a gamble that didn't pay off, get over it, we move on.

And for the record, i'm quite proud of Sanchez for putting his name forward and stepping up to take a pen. Atleast he had the bollocks to do it, especially after all the shit he's had to take from some of you lot.

Think that midfield is a big drop off in terms of their on ball ability than Biss,Sarr,JM.
Like the front 3, Hopefully enough to get the win.
^ Said before the game our midfield doesn’t have the ability, we can have 1 with our usual 3 and get away with it but not all 3, with sarr and bissouma away at Afcon for a couple of games, having Skipp and Hojbjerg to come in does worry me.

Partly agree but everyone knows they can’t play together, fans, opposition etc. too many changes. Even if had gone for five changes I could have understood but it has slowed momentum and went against the winning mentality he spoke of. We’d have gone off on one of had been Conte in same position.

I think many of the players who started today would have taken the chance to show they have a future here, obviously they don’t.

so you are happy?

Who makes 9 changes away to a PL team? When we have no Europe?

It’s bullshit, and we’re out of one of two competitions we can actually win. Laughing stock yet again
Am I happy at going out? No.

Do I believe we have lost all momentum? No.

Do you understand the difference?

I’m sure deep down Ange will know he messed up with so many changes. But I suppose he will say he needs to know who he can count on and he is on a long journey so will have plenty of cup runs to put it right.

For me it was silly to give Lo Celso his chance with such a weak midfield behind him as he had no chance to get space or receive the ball. Never really got in the game. The midfield was where the game was lost. Should have started Bissouma or Sarr for sure.

He should also have started Udogie IMO as his power and drive would have forced them back.

He will get criticised but let’s hope he’s learnt and more importantly Daniel Levy has learnt where our deficiencies in depth lie.
